Right, but the injury hit back in May. If this was a situation where they were surprised by an injury, hey, what can you do? But the GM said he knew in May this was where it was going to be.

There were 40 something guards that signed free agent deals.

It's like if you have six kids and you fail to feed 2 of them and they die, telling the judge "I fed FOUR kids! What did you want me to do?" isn't going to cut it.

I don't care if he signed 3 IOL if he needed 4. Specifically, he knew he needed a starting LG, C and RG. He addressed C in the draft and RG via trade but did not address LG.

It sucks if Green turns out to be a bust with the 15th pick.
But I've seen enough of Stingley, Pitre and Pierce to know they can ball out. Three ballers' in a draft is considered a really good draft.
Now add Harris who has flashed and Metchie who will be playing for the first time, Caserio is still in place to have one of the best draft classes should these two pan out.

Y'all ready for a 2023 re-draft lol reminds of the 2024 draft thread a day after the draft.

Who's to say the guys he's added aren't better than the guys he added in the last week. He has added 2 guys with starting experience, drafted a center, trade for a pro bowl level OG, got a promising young OG off of the bills PS and re-signed Howard. I wouldn't say he was sitting on his hands when it comes to the OL. Plus Howard and Scruggs should be back by week 3.

I sense the sarcasm but the mistake was going into camp with Green as your paper starting LG with no realistic replacement on the roster when you knew in May he would need surgery.

If his injury happened in camp or pre season I’d get it, but nick said he knew in May it was when not if for Green being done for the year. so he needed to plan better.

I’m willing to give him longer to work with Ryan’s to see how it goes. I’m just saying his track record on evaluating talent thus far has not been all that great imo.

And his comment? You agree with him not having an effect on winning?

I don’t expect this team to win big yet. I do expect him to draft and/or add core pieces. I’m not giving him much credit on what went on in the 1st round this year.

Seems like you're blaming him for what's gone wrong and not giving him credit for what's gone right.

He gets the coaches the players they want. But make no mistake, he got Lovie the guys he wanted and now he's getting Ryans the guys they want.

No I didn't like that statement at all.

I know it's already been said, but man, that OL is going to fold like paper against that Ravens DL.

How are the replacement players for our starters in run blocking? If they can run then they can do a lot of quick hit passes, especially to Schultz and Tank. Stroud probably won’t have time to get much down the field.

They really averaged 60,000+? It looked more like 12,000.
