Most of those guys are either too busy to go to most of the games or just end up in the suites with their buddies, I've seen it done with someone I'm close to. They could also just tailgate and not have to pay stiff concession prices or wait 20 minutes just to take a leak. All-in-all, it's a business and it pays off.
Patrick Willis was a GREAT linebacker for the 49ers. Physically gifted and smart as a whip. I must assume at the time of this play he wasn't aware Vonta Leach was really an O-lineman (with a very nasty disposition) who could run and pancake any LB foolish enough to challenge him head on.
As a fan, this does not impress me. If they said they were going to wait to find bargains, I would be more impressed. So I am going to pretend that is what they meant. We def need some more vets on the OL other than the few signed / traded for so far. I would be ok if they even just added Schreff or Hernandez to the OL room.
Agree, but just see this as posturing potentially with agents they've already been talking to. Announce they're done and maybe guys like Hernandez come in at a more reasonable price.
Not knowing anything about roster construction, cap, etc., and I know we've added a couple receivers, but I'd love to see Diggs back. Our offense was just different with him...legit SB contender good. The window is right now. Give him another chance on a deal that makes sense (surely this isn't impossible with his injury last year).
I was about to ask you gents if you think we'll sign a WR. I guess the answer is it depends on the price. I'm going to predict that we DO sign a receiver (preferably Diggs) but no more OL.
Man, if we are done with free agency starters, then that means one or more of the following: We are putting a lot of faith in some young guys that have been injured a lot in their short career (Patterson, Juice) We are counting on Howard to somehow regain some of the promise he showed in the past We are expecting to draft offensive line well in this upcoming draft, and they will be impactful in their rookie season Seems like a LOT of uncertainty in there, and if it goes badly this offense is going to look bad again, even if we fix the run blocking. I am vexed.
