I think Woodie is going to be a nice addition to this team. I can see him getting a lot of receptions out of the backfield
I'd be worried if the snap was good and the ball was down properly. But imagine how well you would drive a golf ball if the tee was on a spring and three people had a thread tied to it. No weeks and a holder with only one year of experience with the LS just reminds me of my desire to keep the skilled special teams players in tact in 2024. Hopefully, they get better with familiarity. But I do wonder which LS was out there. I heard it was Ferguson who had to replace a missing Brinkman a couple of weeks ago. Nothing about injury, but my first thought now when there is no story is another player with cancer.
My question now is whether we'll have to keep 3 QB's on the 53 man if both Mertz and Slovis are now candidates to get picked up from either the waiver wire or off he practice squad. There is a downside to depth. We essentially played with 2 on the 53 man roster when we placed Keenum on the IL last year with no expectation Slovis would get picked up. But that might be different this year.
His pass protection knowledge and ability is way more advanced than I assumed. I think he's gonna be a player.
They probably just thought he was too old since he's already 39, and likely didn't appreciate the position enough since it's been good for so long. They are about to learn the error of their ways.
'Last year... yep... he sucked (but so did Ed Ingram) https://www.si.com/nfl/patriots/news/pff-top-breakout-candidate-sidy-sow-2024 https://www.si.com/nfl/patriots/new...s-sidy-sow-bounce-back-josh-mcdaniels-offense Not saying it's guaranteed, but he has history with some of our coaches Edit: NVM, I thought he was drafted in 2022. Missed Caley by a year
For a game that was simply looking for depth I found myself intrigued at the intensity. Mertz is the man.............my biggest take away is what happens to DP? He showed some violent runs but is it enough? If Mixon isnt ready for game one I think he stays on for now, if he is ready, I think he is cut or traded.........great kid, but dam, you have to earn a spot
Cam Akers cut by The Saints. Organization after organization continues to pass on this guy, but he sure seems to display valuable production in back-up roles when given the opportunity (see 2024 Vikings)
When it comes to Texans PR activity and behind the scenes stuff I dont trust anything until it's back against the wall with no other choice for them to tell the truth because its gametime.
