Knowing Jerry's luck...he'll trade Micah to you'll and you'll will go on to win the Super Bowl. I'm being serious.
One thing for sure: Now that Micah said he doesn't want to play for the Cowboys and asked to be traded, there is no chance whatsoever Jerry will trade him. He would rather have Micah sit out the season. Micah's declaration (along with his stated reasons why) have made this a public, personal war. Jerry will make him play for the Cowboys or play nowhere at all. I hope Jerry completely destroys that team.
Arlington says they aren't trading him and from what I've seen the last few hours, the asking price starts at '26 and '27 first rounders and some mix of 2 2nd and 3rd rounders. And then there's gonna have to be an extension. Tempting, but I hope they pass.
Die hard Cowboy fan here. Although the roster management has generally been a turn off. We have always waited until the absolute last minute to sign these guys and then we have paid them the most money we possibly could. It makes no sense. When we signed Dak to this most recent contract, We gave him the biggest contract of all time in the NFL to my knowledge. This is a guy who is probably about the 10th or 12th best quarterback in the league and is on the downside of things. With CeeDee Lamb, who is amongst the top three or four wide receivers in the game we waited until the very last minute and then paid out the ass. Parsons Has been amazing. He is amongst my favorite players and my only concern is that he tends to wear down as the season goes on. That being said, we should’ve paid him as soon as we could have years ago. A friend and I discussing this situation today came up with the analogy that had we handled these three players correctly. We probably would have the money to go ahead and extend George Pickens. Ultimately, I doubt Parsons is traded and I’m sure that he is paid relatively quickly. I would love nothing more than the Cowboys to trade him and Prescott and go ahead and do a little bit of a soft rebuild. There is actually quite a bit of young talented depth on the roster, including at pass rusher. The only player I’m never giving up is Lamb. Just because he is my favorite player. Parsons for two firsts, a third, and a serviceable starter for one of the trenches. Prescott for a first and a fourth.
I am not sure who would take dak with that contract and at his age with his injuries. As for parsons, any team that trades for him has to give him a monster extension and fork over a kings ransom so I don’t see that happening either. Jerruh is in his 80s and he’s not going to stay for a rebuild or a tank year. The cowboys are so poorly managed and will Mcclay is their saving grace although even their early drafting is starting to wear down. Guyton with their first rounder, schoonmaker in the 2nd, mazi smith also a first rounder
What’s crazy is the way that organization has taken shots at Parsons for having a podcast but had no issues with Irvin and the crew doing lines of strippers asses back in the day
Parsons not playing wont destroy that team. In fact they probably will have a bad record which will help them more in the long run. Think this way, if Parsons sitting out allowed Jerrah to draft Manning in 2026 would Jerrah be happy to get out from under both Parsons and Dak's deals? Remember Jerrah is a businessman 1st and foremost and this would be a stoke of genius business reset.
Cowgirls aren’t bad enough to bottom out. Micah will get paid. But this will undoubtedly piss off Mulugheta(especially if reports that Jerry tried to negotiate with Micah without Mulu present), whom he and Jerry don’t have the best relationship(FWIW Mulu and Caserio’s relationship is very solid)
