From the article, looking at what we already had on the roster after going through the draft, all positions on paper seem to be good. I'm still weary about the offensive line, but I believe in Demeco, Caley, and #BDN, so I'd run it back with this squad.
There's more than one way to find gold. One is to search for the biggest nugget and another is to search for the largest deposit. We have essentially chosen the latter route in casting the widest net. The key is to identify the best to refine because it's not as easy as finding a pure nugget.
It's an old boy scout motto - BE PREPARED. It's not a reflection on the pick, it's preparation for future needs. You never know what will happen as we saw when all three of our elite receivers missed time last season or devastation of the OL in 2023.
Exactly. The NFL, more than any other sport, the opening day 53 and the mid-season roster have massive variance. Every position group in football is like the 6th starter in baseball - the “first reserve” WILL play a significant role during the season. Fans asking “why are they signing or drafting position X when they already have that position group settled?” are almost always just looking at the starters.
I think it was a solid pick, listening to John Harris as it happened in real time was fun, he was pumped for this guy who is an above average RB at catching the ball out of the backfield and can be a true 3rd down back and will be able to spell Mixon. He also mentioned typically in the later rounds if you want to move up the typical give is one round higher and we had 2 so I am willing to take the hit and if this pans out its HUGE. I love the depth there building. I am still nervous about the O Line but I am hoping a new "voice" and competent coaching get us to average to slightly above average........I want to set the bar low for my own mental health
I’m sure he wants to start but wouldn’t mind if they looked at JK Dobbins as a 2 headed monster. Local guy and only 26 yrs old
