I'm still surprised we aren't bringing in any secondary people. I still think Jabari Greer would be a great cover corner opposite Dunta. I would like this scenario to play out: Sign Cedric Benson for cheap. Sign Jabari Greer.(I'm not sure how the cap situation is/if would allow for this) In the draft: Draft Jenkins in the first round (with the intention of converting him to a safety)if he falls. Draft Alex Mack or Max Unger in the second OR Draft best player available in the first at one of the following positions: OL, WR, LB. Draft one of the safety's that are left in the second round (I.E> Patrick Chung)
Wow. I fail. That's too bad. They must have offered him a lot of money. The reason I liked him so much, is because I watched quite a few Bills games this year, and he seemed to get better and better as the year went on. He's a pretty good cover man.
I dont understand why we didnt bring in Rocky Bernard from the Seahawks to shore up our DT position. The guy has been very solid his whole career and he's a local product from Baytown. The Giants signed him to a 4 yr contract totaling 16 million.
Not quite: http://www.freep.com/article/200903...d+regarding+Lions++pursuit+of+CB+Jabari+Greer No word regarding Lions' pursuit of CB Jabari Greer BY NICHOLAS J. COTSONIKA • FREE PRESS SPORTS WRITER • March 1, 2009 This morning, I had some indication the Lions might sign cornerback Jabari Greer. Since then ... nothing. Advertisement And now there are reports Greer might visit the Browns. So stay tuned. Greer, 27, is 5-feet-11 and 180 pounds. He has played the past five years for Buffalo. He intercepted two passes last season and returned both for touchdowns. The Lions have added two cornerbacks since free agency began Friday, signing Eric King and trading for Anthony Henry. But they still need help at corner.
In looking at our new backup QB I have to as is this: http://thesportshernia.typepad.com/blog/images/2008/10/14/detroitlionsdanorlovskydebacle_3.jpg really better than this??? http://cache.daylife.com/imageserve/07k4fVjdGY0g7/610x.jpg
Thing is, our new backup is young and still learning....Other thing is, the stepping out of the endzone thing was only made a big deal because he was on the worst team in the league. It only added to their awfulness. Like I said before, I he had done this while playing for the Pats, he would have just been another young QB who made a boneheaded mistake. Sage made his mistake as a quarterback that's been around the block a few times. He pretty much singlehandedly lost that game for us by trying to do too much. I'd rather have a young quarterback who inexplicably stepped out of the endzone, costing his team 2 points, than an "experienced" quarterback who mistakenly thought he could put his team on his back, but wound up costing them 14 points and a loss directly...
you know what mario needs to rack up 100 sacks in a season? A defensive tackle with sick game, and the browns have a very unhappy camper in shaun rogers. I know this is a dreamer's scenario, but it's good for offseason talk. =) shaun rogers for both of our fourth rounders and next year's 3rd.
