man....i can't wait. Started watching texans videos again. <iframe id="multimedia_player" name="multimedia_player" marginWidth="0" marginHeight="0" src="http://www.houstontexans.com/includes/iframes/multimedia_video.asp?mm_file_id=2951" frameBorder="0" width="366" height="278" scrolling="no"></iframe>
Yep, grilled up 2 ribeyes this afternoon...drank a few beers....thinking about the Texans. That's the one time of the year where I actually look forward to Sundays.
Jim Nantz and Phil Simms will call the Texans/Jets game for CBS in week one according to David Barron. This marks the first time the Texans will get CBS's number one announcing crew. Phil Simms called a Texans preseason game last year with Ian Eagle, but that doesn't count.
I find myself watching Slaton highlight videos on youtube quite a bit, haven't seen this one though. Can't wait for the season to start!!
This guy is going to have a great season. <object width="445" height="364"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/1JFqO4mYjSc&hl=en&fs=1&rel=0&border=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/1JFqO4mYjSc&hl=en&fs=1&rel=0&border=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="445" height="364"></embed></object>
Nice mix of Slaton. Man I can't wait for football. I want summer to end and bring on the cooler weather and the Texans!
He proved last year he could shake off the shoulder injury. This year he was victim to the flu or something one week and a douchebagged cheap shot from Jared Allen for a month. I dont think that would qualify as injury prone or anything, he's just being crapped on by fate.
On NFL network, they showed some highlights of Slaton absolutely making defenders look silly (esp. against the Bengals)... Schaub is key, but he has to be healthy. with Slaton getting some good carries, that will help...

With all due respect, I'd say the improved line play, especially from Duane Brown is the key. Good line play should = a healthy QB. But it seems like every game I (get to) watch, Brown gives up a sack. =(
Aw what do you know? You're Canadian. You probably think the field should be 110 yards with those 20 yd endzones. Brown did a pretty admirable job as a rookie. He's only going to get better. The line should be the least of the Texans concerns this season. The starters are solid and there is finally depth at every spot.
I'm so fired up about getting to see Steve Slaton run again for an entire season. This is exactly how I imagine I would have felt had Bush been drafted by us and he turned out as good as we all expected. How nice it is to get that feeling in ADDITION to getting Super Mario.
