Arrington has had some serious attitude/motivation issues. He thrives in a situation where the coach just allows him to roam around a lot (at least that's what he said before). But his poor attitude and up and down motivation are not something we need on this team
Wasn't there someone on here last year who guarnteed Arrington was in the fact the most dominating player in FB and the Skins were a joke for letting him go? Where goes this idiot these days along with the "Casserly is God" Crowd?
Sportscenter ran a little thing on the Texans today. Grading last season (D+ b/c of the improvement), addressing needs, biggest question mark (what happens to Carr), etc. Not much info from them (Peterson, Mario Williams, OL, DL, blah blah blah) but cool to see us getting talked about
Cato June and Jamal Lewis (likely to be released, according to NFL network) will be available. Any interest in either?
Texans are asking DD/DW, Seth Payne and Kailee Wong to restructure their contracts. More info at www.houstonprofootball.com
The Patriots just franchised Samuels so he's out, unless we want to give up 2 first round picks for him.
with how crazy cb prices get, I don't think you can count on the Texans landing an impact cb in fagency anyway.
I remember that as well. In all fairness to Arrington though, it isn't his fault that his knee got blown up.
I don't think we had much of a chance at Samuels, but Nate Clements could be a big pickup. He has a home in Houston and said he wouldn't mind playing for the Texans at all. It'll probably cost us an arm and a leg, but I think we need a Clements-calibur player in our secondary.
http://www.denverpost.com/sports/ci_5251758 Heard an interesting scenario the other day: Tatum Bell and Jake Plummer could be joining coach Gary Kubiak in Houston. The Texans are interested in Plummer. Whether through trade or release, Plummer is likely to end up with Kubiak. There is talk the Broncos and Texans will discuss a trade that would send Plummer, Bell and an early-round draft pick to Houston for the No. 8 overall pick and perhaps a player. This scenario makes some sense. The Texans brass likes Bell, and he could help Houston. The Broncos are expected to look for a bigger back, and because they like the potential of Mike Bell, Tatum Bell could be expendable. Denver will look into moving up in the first round as it did last year to take quarterback Jay Cutler. The theme of Denver's offseason will be getting impact players through free agency, trades and the draft. The Broncos likely will consider drafting Oklahoma's Adrian Peterson or California's Marshawn Lynch in the first round if they have the chance. Moving up to the No. 8 pick likely would be enough for the Broncos to get Peterson, who could be an instant superstar in Denver. Who knows if this trade idea will have legs, but it could make sense for both teams. Some dumb Denver writer try to start a rumor. This trade would be dumber than last years NFL Draft.
