we all have a POV, Ric. we all have opinions. I've told you over and over and over and over and over and over again that just because I think I'm right, doesn't mean YOU have to think I'm right. Now you're suggesting it's arrogant to post something that reflects my own point of view. Do you ascribe to that theory when you're writing commentary for your own website?

are you suggesting we eliminate the posting of our own points of view from these boards??

    you're backtracking again.

yeah, well that's not the post he called BULLSH#% here in this thread. and it's not any of the posts that he's responded to here. i think you're the only saying that at this point...i haven't seen Ric say that, yet. in fact, i see him saying, "i expect more from you" to guys like me and Major and msn.

Never said that, look through my previous posts if you want my stance on this issue. I've tried to be clear in saying "I think..." or "I have a feeling..."

In this thread earlier, I did say there were some interesting comments I've heard earlier in the season about AJ being upset with the way things are going. I don't have the time or resources to search for a clip I heard on a date I forgot and a radio station I forgot.
Did he specifically say "I can't stand carr, I'm leaving when my contracts up" . No.
They were along the lines of the one Dunta gave that Major posted. Which ties in with what I was talking about all along.

I have a feeling some of us won't be getting the Internet BBS Badge of Posting Patch.

    REDUNDANT?

    OLD?

    WE GET IT??

Hey guys, you won. I wish I could find that pic that says:

"Winning an argument on a message board is like winning the Special Olympics. You're still r****ded."

Not sure there's ever been a thread in this forum where it applies more.

    ETA: :D :D :D :D :D

Can I hold this over your head like you held my "kma" post over mine?

i know you keep telling me i shouldn't take this personally. but why are you? no one has even addressed you in this. no one had a problem with you...neither the Ric or the anti-Rics.

i'm not trying to WIN anything.

he actually said this, and it's in this thread, though it isn't really what set me off:
no, MM. i'm suggesting that transposing YOUR opinion onto others (in this case, the players) is what's arrogant: "it's what *i* believe; therefore, they must believe it, too." expressed here by you earlier:

Well, since mine was obviously a joke and yours wasn't...you can do what you want.

    Actually, I guess it wasn't obvious...my bad.

ok, Ric. then I'm an arrogant b*stard. because i absolutely, positively believe that. and if you want me to believe that NO ONE had a problem with the way DC played last year..or lost confidence on him....then pass what you're smoking.

My bad; I completely missed your intended sarcasm.

Rule #1 on Internet bbs's: one ought never take anything too seriously--especially oneself. I'm guilty of breaking this one at times. I needed to push away from the keyboard on this thread a long time ago.

Rule #2: one (and by one, I mean me) should probably stay out of discussions like this even if the workday is slow. :)

The only way I can get out of these things is by not even opening the thread anymore. If I read, I get sucked in and have to respond. It sucks. :)

you know, max, for all the finger-wagging you often level at me for my posting tactics - something about having to continually stretch the facts to shoot down otherwise plausible arguments...

when did i EVER call YOU an "arrogant b*stard"? in fact, if you'll flip through previous posts in this thread, i've actually been very complimentary of you. again and again. msn was able to recognize that, why can't you? why does it seem it's easier for you if i'm a villain?

yes, i thought your post, the one i cited, was arrogant. if it makes you feel better to take that to mean i think YOU'RE arrogant, and a b*stard to boot, even in the face of me repeatedly stating my respect for you...... i mean, i've disagreed with posts of yours in the past; did that mean i thought your were ignorant?

it makes me wonder if your heels are dug so deep in this carr debate that you're no longer able to see over the top...

    i love this post!!!

"your thoughts and comments are arrogant. but you're really a prince!!!!"

your compliments of, "i expect more out of you" are condescending at best. save your compliments.

    ...

if me thinking you have the smarts, knowledge and passion to raise the bar for everyone else in the forum is condesending, then **** me hard with those little plastic scissors we used when we were in pre-school... i don't know what else i can do or say.
