Good thing I monitor my own network and have no boss in the office. :)

If Nnamdi's Houston-bound, the Texans are the clear-cut favorite in the AFC, hands down.

It just doesn't feel like the Texans anymore, which is a good thing. I'm just in awe that they're still rumored to be in it.

I guess I'm just used to being heartbroken by Houston teams.

Only one source so take it for what it is worth. Either way, this team has changed.

You know, we all thought when the news broke they almost had Weddle that it meant they had not been in on Aso before that. Maybe they were aiming at both? Maybe Joseph replaced Weddle?

Still seems crazy to me. Don't believe it, but hoping for it!

He says the Texans still have between 9-12 million left. WTF?

    What this really is:

Nnamdi's Agent: So I guess the offer's off the table now, right?
Rick Smith: Yeah, we got the secondary players we really need now.
Nnamdi's Agent: That screws our leverage with the Jets. Can you put some misinformation out there to pretend you're still interested? I'll hook you up in the future.
    Rick: Well...
Nnamdi's Agent: I represent some battlefighters I can hook you up with.
    Rick: Sold.

Imagine if we sign Awesome-Wa, and then the Stros flip Pence for a FAT loot at the expense of the Phils.

Great day to be a Houston sports fan...

I have a hard time seeing it as realistic... but watching John McClain's explanation if the Texans signed Asomugha (on top of Joseph, Manning) would be the greatest thing ever.

    Would be awesome.

    Not gonna happen though.

    (Please, God, let this happen...)

    LOL.

John McClain will have a freaking cow if they sign Aso. What will his headline read?

"Houston Texans sign Nnamdi; must restructure lease on Reliant Stadium to get cap room"

I agree it is unrealistic unless they have something worked out with Andre and/or Mario.

After signing JJ, I was just rooting for Nnamdi to go anywhere other than the Jets, preferably an NFC team to prevent an AFC defensive powerhouse from forming. But hey, we'll still take him.

Why do great days for Houston sports fans always have to do with Front Office moves? At least recently?

Yeah, that would be the only way. I trust Lance Z, and he said this morning that with the figures he had, he thought it would be difficult to bring back Leach, much less any other defensive FAs of significance.

Hopefully the Texans or Rockets will finally change that this year.
