i'm not even going to link it, i'm gonna make you search it out, but just when i think dick justice can't write anything dumber than anything he has alreedy in his long career made out of writing very dumb articles, he goes and writes one criticizing the texans for not doing something they a) haven't had a chance to not do yet and b) would be ****ing stupid for them to do - go after vince young.
That's just him attempting to "stir the pot". VY to the Texans makes no sense now. I didn't even bother to read that article as it was such a dumb idea.
The Great One is already here. <object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Ll3tqlTLfic?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Ll3tqlTLfic?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>
Take it for what it's worth, but he wasn't advocating bringing him in to replace Schaub. He rightly says that Schaub is better and that VY shouldn't come here if he thinks he's competing for a starting job. Rather, Dick wants to use him like a wild card. Play him some at QB, RB and WR (editor's note: Really?). Start using the wildcat formation. He may only get into the game for a handful of plays but it'd give the defense something else to play for.
Exactly....read the whole article and it does actually make a little sense. People thought the Eagles were crazy for picking up Vick, but that's turned out pretty well for them. If VY were to come and provide some different options for the offense, why not take a shot in a low-risk deal. And as a backup, he couldn't possibly be any worse than Orlovsky. At the same time, as soon as VY does one good thing, and Schaub does one bad, some fans will be calling for a change, and they won't let up. I don't think any positives he may have at this point outweighs that type of aggravation. He needs a fresh start , something he wouldn't get here.
This is the part that makes sense - it gives you a functional backup, which is a huge plus in the league, especially if they go to 18 game schedules. And you can use him in creative ways if you really want to. That's the big negative. You'd have problems within your fan base, and open yourself up to all sorts of second guessing. If I were the owner, this would make me say no despite the fact that it would be a talent upgrade at the backup QB spot. Just not worth the potential problems it could cause.

Shee, they are loaded. http://www.fftoolbox.com/nfl_draft/2011/nfl_draft_order_full.cfm
So is Bruce Matthews actually considered a hot coaching prospect around the league? Or is he just here for the feel-good aspect of having a former great on the staff (like Drexler coaching the Coogs a few years ago)? Honest question.
"We got to get a couple of pieces on defense" I like how he thinks, but I'm not sure tio mcnair does. $$$ Straight cash homie.
