It had to be done. Still don’t see the need of a $22 million LT with the state the team is in ( with the QB position up in the air) but this helps.
If they restructure Mercilus next for another 7 million!. Nick has cleared a total of 38 million, including this latest one, to make all these moves. It could be more. I got tired of looking at the transactions. So there is now 14 millish to play with? Malcolm Butler still available? who is left? Sammy Watkins? Get them both. Props to Nick, he handled free agency the way any delusional arm chair gm would, thinking outside the box. Posters on here like, "Breh, there is no way a GM can clear that much cap space to sign any one." Now just take easterby to the basement with a promise of a promotion. Texans just need a really young star qb. =( I was looking at Wilson's pro day throwing 60 yard darts while spinning like the tazmanian devil is saying devil ok? Thought how close they were should they've gotten the 2nd pick in a trade. Be lucky to get the second pick in the second round as of now. I wish Lindsay and Jenkins had received 2 year deals. I feel they're going to have yuge seasons.
who was it that told me I had no idea what I was talking about when I said I would restructure Tunsil as one of my first big moves? Was that @YOLO
Honestly this has been the most I've enjoyed a Texans off-season free agent push. I know the Watson situation is there but all these moves seem good.
Watson at QB will do fine. No interest in trading the player. Tunsil being willing to restructure sends a good message.
