When they gather enough talent to compete for a championship that number will be somewhere between 18-20 percent. Unless you think they're going to win a championship this year with Watson. Lol

Take it for what it’s worth (not much)...but I spoke briefly w/ Steph Stradley this weekend, who obviously has a lot of contacts within the organization. Says that those within the organization are flabbergasted with the Easterby situation and that he is in fact as divisive as reported. Also, Janice is on board with the direction of the ministry...whoops, meant organization.

Sorry bro thats not flying with me. If other QBs can dislike their team and situation enough to not want to play there then Deshaun has the same right regardless of contract. A trade relieves the team of the financial responsibility does it not?

Hell no it doesn’t, there will be a huge dead cap hit for the team.

And no, those aren’t even remotely the same situations. If you take any fan hood out of it you could see that.
If Josh Allen (Closest comparison to Watson) signs his mega extension this off-season and then at end of the season starts pouting and letting trade requests be tried in the media. He would get treated the exact same way.

What are the dead cap hits? Didnt seem to stop the Eagles from dealing Wentz. You dont know who has been saying what to the media with all certainty and I could say that the Texans themselves have been releasing bogus info to make their situation look better than it is.

Nobody feels sorry for the Texans. This was all self inflicted.

It will be hard to find a similar situation to the debacle among the Texans front office that drives players away. Players shouldn't just be expected to forego career happiness all for a check. If the Texans showed even an inkling of competence I could support the "honor your contract the team is trying" stance, but its not the case.

Nobody should feel sorry for Watson either lol. He chose to sign that contract.
Player empowerment is not something I’m ever going to be in favor of. These players are paid handsomely, they can have a choice of where they go when they hit free agency.

What you and others aren’t factoring in is the rules are in place to create league parity.
Unless you enjoy the NBA super teams.

I understand the argument, but you guys always conveniently leave out why Watson wants out. There has never been another NFL team that has made the crazy move towards a religious center like this. Its unprecedented, and with that there will be some unprecedented fallout.

I want some more regulation on the owners then if the players are just going to be forced into horrible situations.

And I’m absolutely ok with that. I’m not forgiving the Texans for this either. It’s embarrassing and shameful.

I'm guessing they're calling in asking hey, are you interested in trading DA for <fill-in-the-blank-top-5-at-his-position> star player? And then laughing mockingly by saying never mind, no one in their right mind would do that deal!

Caserio needs to be a little more realistic and clever with the bogus info he releases to the press. NOBODY is taking on an aging, injury prone RB and that contract for the output. NOBODY.

Sure it is. "We'll take Johnson off your hands if you include him in a Watson trade"

The McNair's could have paid a whole lot less to build a Megachurch than Bob paid for the Texans. Idiots... or maybe genius. It's like a next level above those Cowyboy Churches that combine that rural country culture with a dumbed down version of our lord. Football Church, can't get any more 'Merica than that!
