If we are trading Deshaun why do we need a receiver? If we aren't trading Deshaun why aren't we spending every penny we have to improve that piss poor defense that cost us at least 7 wins this year because they couldn't get a stop even with only 10 seconds left in the game. This organization makes no sense if they are going after another WR.
It's a no win situation. This is going to end up like those old Western movies where everyone shoots each other and dies. The Texans arrogantly called Johnson's assessment of easterby as "passionate". Right now Cal probably still thinks Deshaun is just going through a phase and they can work things out while eating his cake, cake being easterby. easterby, due to lacking self awareness, is calling teams telling them Deshaun is not available praying that god will intervene and make everything better. He even has some new motivational material to deliver to the team before kick off, Sept 9th. The Texans let free agency and the draft period go by. Deshaun sits out. Texans get embarrassed by the situation as Deshaun's agent threatens to come forward with in depth detail cult behavior by easterby. Now Texans trade Deshaun and only get 1/3 the haul they'd originally receive. easterby is finally fired December 2021. sounds good only if Baby Carr cuts out the eye liner. No place for that. Jets is still the best path to righteousness
are we really surprised after they didn't even reach out to their franchise QB? Given the current state of the texans, the coach and/or GM should make a phone call to every person that is basically a lock to make the active roster. It just seems so obvious that it is painful that a simple phone call hasn't been made to basically say, 'hey, i'm excited to be here and look forward to working with you next season'.
I just think a change of scenery would be great for him get the heck out of Philly and start fresh. Only really huge draw back for me is that contract could be a real deal breaker.
