Nope. Pulled a hammy early, arrest won't be an issue. I'd be concerned about the broken bone in his foot that kept him out of the Combine. that's an issue.
Yeah if the neck issue doesn't pop back up, he did just announce his retirement in January over concerns with his neck. If healthy, he'd be an amazing pick up though.
There's no question that if he's healthy he can be a beast, the only concern is that he could take one bad hit and be paralyzed or that team doctors might not even clear him to play. I think I saw something that said we are like the 17th team he's met with or whatever. There's a reason he's still unsigned.
Oh wow didn't know that. I seen about 3 but if it's up to 17th, I don't want us to be that team that ends up ending his walking days
It was some story as of June 29th his agent said that he had heard from 15 teams already, perhaps he didn't visit with them though, but they talked to him and passed. Then the Jets, Colts, and Lions brought him in for a visit and all 3 passed on him. His next spot was here. If there were no questions about his health, he'd have been signed by the very first stop.
Here's a good breakdown of what happened... https://www.baltimorebeatdown.com/2...my-opinion-retired-coming-back-second-opinion
Ah Baltimore Beatdown, those guys love me over there, or rather they used to, it's been a few years since I've dropped by. As to the content, where it says "I don’t have a choice anyways. The doctors—I’ll never be able to pass a physical again." I'm not sure he was wrong. I think he'd really struggle to get cleared to play.
With how thin the Texans are at OT, they really don't have a choice but to cave and give him what he wants, or at least most of what he wants.
Why the hesitation in signing the best tackle in Houston Texan history? Is it only because of his age? I guess the question you have to ask is do we have his replacment on the roster as it is now? No, we don't. Pay the man Rick.
