1. Sept. 7 at Pittsburgh Steelers 1 p.m. W, 1-0 (upset here, i think we'll get to Big Ben big time with the pass rush) 2. Sept. 14 Baltimore Ravens 4:15 p.m. W, 2-0 (their offense is bad after mcgahee) 3. Sept. 21 at Tennessee Titans 1 p.m. L, 2-1 (we can't beat VY at their place) 4. Sept. 28 at Jacksonville Jaguars 1 p.m. L, 2-2 (i'll say blowout in this one) 5. Oct. 5 Indianapolis Colts 1 p.m. L, 2-3 (its the colts, enough said) 6. More evidence thats Kubiak and Smith really know how to evaluate talent. Their first 2 drafts were phenominal and I expect this one will turn out the same. I absolutely LOVE the way they are building this team, with patience and good solid research. A tough schedule may keep us from the playoffs this year, but I truly believe they are building a team that will be competing for the playoffs for a decade.
Who is Ray Rhodes? Where did he come from? All this makes me excited. I too love what the Texans have been doing. Too bad we didn't have Smithbiak from the beginning.
The only media that has anything good to say about Houston sports is local. Until the Texans win something they won't get any respect nationally. Nobody likes the middle of the country. To them we are just a bunch of rednecks. Same goes for the Rockets and Astros... no respect.
Actually the Astros got a lot of respect from the media when the were one of the most winningest MLBs of the 90s. However, our Astros had a tendency to not hit the ball once they made the playoffs. Sucked.
Like the steaming pile that thread turned into was going to last. Someone mercifully deleted it before I could get to it.
OMG! Duane Brown already has his own shoe!!! http://cgi.ebay.com/Tahari-Duane-Br...ryZ63889QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Not really Texans news...well it kind of is...Jerome Mathis was a Texan at the start of this offseason, signed with the Redskins and cut. http://www.usatoday.com/sports/football/2008-05-15-1099879948_x.htm
How bad do you have to do in minicamp to get cut when you're the only FA a team signed? He must have really sucked.
Yeah, that and he hasn't exactly had a sparkling off-season either. I think he's already had, what, 2 run-ins with the law? The guy just never got it together on or off the field.....it's a shame, because he really had Devin Hester-type potential. Injuries just never seemed to go away with him.
Either he was out of shape or didn't respond to the coaches very well, either way your right about being cut in mini camp.
