I like it. Michel, McKinnon should be able to be signed fairly cheaply. So would guys like Mack,Jordan Wilkins, Jeff Wilson. I would've picked up Wilkins after he got cut last yr.
3 more specific cuts plus another rework of Cooks contract and they can clear around 18-20 million. Cannon, Murray and Pierre. Which is why you have to roll your eyes when the 'not enough cap space' chatter begins.
Add in guys like Moreland and Scharping and you get another 4-5 million. Caserio has plenty of cap space to add 4-5 guys on the cheap that would be upgrades.
Just curious - whats the rush to trade Tunsil again? I know his run blocking is suspect and his contract is huge, but his pass pro is pretty damn good and if the development of Mills is really important to the team wouldnt they rather do it with competent players vs rookies? Why not give it another year and fill out the defense and skill positions while these guys are under contract. I dunno I guess I just presumed trading Tunsil was a foregone conclusion, but is it?
That contact and his play don’t align either. If you can get a first for him we can somewhat correct the overpay that OB made in trading for him.
