Unfortunately, them are the rules. Until they change them, that's what you have to do. Go for the ribs, that's fair game. Brilliant clock management there, guys. Way to not come away with any points!
Is anyone really suprised? Kubiak has shown over and over again that he dosent know how to manage the clock.
First and formost it wasnt even head to head contact. Second of all quarterback are treated like baby back bit***#. You want to rattle a quarterback, get in his head a little bit, hit him where they are gonna feel it. There was going to be a penalty against Antonio Smith for landing near Phillip Rivers feet but luckily it wasnt called. You can't go high on a quarterback nor can you go low. WTF are you supposed to do.
No one on the team seemed to know what to do. The receiver didn't run out of bounds, The QB should have called timeout or spiked the ball, and the coach was asleep I guess.
I guess we need to add kicker & punter to their offseason/draft needs. If you don't trust your NFL kicker leg enough to attempt a 56 yard field goal, find a different kicker.
Except that it was. Irrelevant. Then accept the penalty for doing that. Again irrelevant. Jets players didn't seem to have a problem figuring out how to sack Schaub. Nor have all the many other players around the league that make legal sacks every week.
Yup total confusion on the whole team there. Gary Kubiak is the head coach and has to take charge and call a TO there.
Go for the middle. I didn't make the rules. Pollard had his head/helmet down and he was going for the shoulder/neck. It may not have been helmet-to-helmet, but you cannot have the primary point of impact be anywhere above the shoulder. It also doesn't help that Pollard has a head-hunter reputation... but he has that reputation because he's a cheap-shot artist.
