Wins are wins when wins contribute to winning. If they don't, then wins can be losses. Unless they're ties.
I'm never gonna root for a loss, but I wish if they were going to win the game and lessen the chances of a top draft pick that it wouldn't have been so damn ugly. Thank goodness Pierce is on this team because he is honestly about all I enjoy watching these days. Now we have a 2 week undefeated streak we can enjoy.
What we know is that all those comparisons last year of how Mills outplayed or hung with Trevor Lawrence were all true. What is also true is that both QBs aren't very good.
I was just thinking this too. He'll get the AJ80 career time line. Great years with the Texans mixed in with a couple playoff pushes here and there but the team never got it together.
A win is a win regardless same with a loss. Are there benefits to winning or losing... I say yes. A deeper question is when have the Texans ever benefitted from either? The losses are embarrassing and the wins have always led to future embarrassing losses. So... I'm back to a win is a win.
This win was a loss though. Texans lost draft position, I lost brain cells watching Davis Mills play "attempted QB"
Pitre frustrates me with the missed tackles. For some reason I was under the impression that that was something he was good at. Stingley has been as advertised but the thing about CBs is when they play well, you usually aren't noticing them much, so they aren't a lot of fun to watch, really. Nico(le) doesn't do much for me. He strikes me as the type of receiver that will get some decent stats by being on a crap team and SOMEBODY will have to catch passes. He did make some nice plays yesterday. Maybe he will continue to impress.
He's made a lot of plays too. I think he goes for the big hit too much but I am confident in him as a player. Valid point on Stingley. I didn't mean to call him Nicole. Auto correct got me there. I have watched him since Michigan and always liked his game. Let's hope he continues
I want to see where Mills is at by the end of the season. You see the signs. The drive for the go ahead score was mostly Pierce. However, Mills made 2 big throws.
