I kept doing the math trying to figure out why they weren't kneeling. Would be interesting to hear if O'Brien is asked that question and if he answers. It is unacceptable for him to not know that you can kneel twice and win with 70 seconds left.
Strange how people wanted them to go from simply looking "competitive" in a road game... to demanding a blowout win. They have a big-time buffer in order to further adapt the playbook to facilitate improvement. They'll need some guys to come back from injury for that to be fully possible.
some of the formations and situation we were passing from with 50 seconds left in the first half were ridonk, completely ignoring the TEs when it was not on the 3 yard line. And we kept running plays to end the game no Victory fomation, makes me think the staff was not aware the jags could not stop the clock. Kjax got a td but gave up 17. Carr won't miss those. Please be back Bouye. The run game and blocking keeps improving. almost 200 yards rushing, when you run like that you will always have a chance to win. I remember in 2005 the seattle came in passed for 100 yards and ran for about 300, leading to like a 30 point blow out. 6-3. I think all of the debbie downers had them below .500 with the most difficult schedule in the league or so they said at the beginning. Of course now, it's a pathetic schedule since it's the texans that are 6-3. keep winning the division games.
Fuller out, Grimes out, Bouye out, Strong out. Wilfork out. I have a feeling at least a couple of those guys would have played if this game was against the Raiders.
That was such a pathetic passing game. We might as well just add a couple more offensive lineman and run or throw to tight ends if Brock can't be used for anything over 20 yards without worrying about interceptions. This game plan won't cut it against Oakland unless they can't stop the run. A win is a win though, Brock didn't turn over the ball, and we have beat everyone in our division. Go Texans!
The Jaguars have a much better defense than the Raiders. Plus hopefully Will Fuller is back. This offense really needs him. His 100 yard games seem so long ago.
that's what i don't get. only 3 receivers and we were lining up like we had the greatest show on turf's receivers. We need more shotgun.
Thanks John Madden, for the brilliant insight. This game wouldn't have been close if our damn kicker didn't leave six points on the field. You can't do that on the road, regardless of who you are playing.
Well also the reason it got close at the end was due to Kareem Jackson playing extremely poorly. He single handedly got the Jags back in the game.
http://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/2016/ Actually the Texans are tied with the Falcons, didn't see that the first time.
