Foster 110 rushing, 37 receiving Tate 74 rushing, 23 receiving, 2 TDs Jacksonville Entire Offense 77 total yards M Jones-Drew 43 rushing, 7 receiving
Guys...Jacksonville is playing a 2 Deep soft coverage. They are so afraid of Andre Johnson deep, they would rather give up the run game and underneath stuff. That's why there are no throws deep. Texans will happily just run the clock and go 4 yards every play.
Does anyone think if they started Forsett he could have as many yards as Foster. It seems like no matter who the running back is he dominates. Tate, and remember how effective Ward was in 2010? He averaged like 6 yards a carry.
Forsett wants more playing time. Btw who said they were concerned about the rushing ability in the first half?
I'm pleased that the Texans took care of business for the most part today. But at the same time, this game is yawn-inducing and boring, aside from JJ Watt and some nice runs from Foster and especially Tate. The Jaguars are just a crap cupcake team. Blaine Gabbert's days there (and in the NFL) are numbered. I'm looking forward to the Texans going up against a REAL team next week in Denver. Honestly, this team has not been tested yet. Especially our secondary. I expect Peyton Manning to pick on Kareem Jackson relentlessly.
