The j(f)ags were 5-10 on 3rd down conversions, but that is misleading because of the two 4th down conversions. So really, they were 7-10 in converting.

Our defense couldn't force them to punt. There's your game.

to be fair, the defense had two early take aways, including a late special teams "fumble" recovery. the offense never took full advantage of them.

man, it would definitely have been a different story if we were up 10-0 or 14-0.

Yet it's a component of QB rating, which you repeatedly trumpet.

I agree. Screwing up the touchdowns deflated us. We look good at first and we could of had some momentum. Some bad breaks did us in, then things got ugly.

At least our Captain played well, that's two weeks in a row.

Not being able to run or stop the run is why we lost the game.

That's just it -- a component. It's not the entire thing. You need to put it in a larger context.

in my opinion it just seemed that the ball, and the calls, were bouncing in the jags favor. of coruse we got 2 early TOs but couldnt get anything out of it. there were more than enough bad calls against the texans as well. i still feel that they still should of won this game. shut down mo next time, at home, and we walk away easily... trust me.

plus im not saying that the Dline or Oline couldnt of played better because they certainly could of.

We had to have set a record for most stops on 3rd down only to be nullified by a penalty.

Most frustrating game I've felt as a Houston football team fan since January 1994.

    Penalties and 4th down conversions.

Man, there is nothing more demoralizing that FINALLY holding them on 3rd down....only to have them go for and EASILY convert the 4th down.

That happened twice yesterday. The worst was when Matt Jones ran an out-route RIGHT beyond the 1st down marker and caught it..... when we, for some reason, gave him a 7 yard cushion....

I prefer troll. Hell, even if it isn't sincere, MiniMing has at least professed that he's rooting for the Texans. This guy just gets his jollies off of coming in here after a Texans loss and trying to rub it in our faces.

Good for you. I'm sure it made your day when you got to tell us all how much smarter you are than us because you predicted the same record that a large majority of us did.

    Congratulations.

That kills me to no end. UT has a bad habit of doing the same thing. They need 8 yards so you have your db's drop off 10 yards? I understand not wanting to give up the big play, but why not be in position to make a play?

The ignore button is handy for such as these.

It's a brilliant production. Just wait--he'll either execute it perfectly before a big, well-planned blow-up that will go 15 expletive-laced pages before being locked, or he'll slowly begin to "leak" before melting down on a similar 15-page expletive-laced derailed train-wreck thread. I'm putting my money on one of the Titans games.

As I said, to those wipper snappers who thought the Texans were going to make the playoffs after starting the season 2 - 0. If that is not you, then you are the exception!
