Texans: 17 Jags: 14 Kris Brown pulling a Tmac with a winning 3ptr.. sucking the gravity right out of the field.
This is a HUGE game since we should get AJ back next week. We need to protect the ball. No turnovers! Lets go Texans!
The S.A. networks rarely mention the Titans, but always give the Cowboys and Texans scores & highlights(in that order). VY was a high school star in Houston and a college star in Austin. That's the reason the Titans get so much run there.
Hmmm, I never really thought about that. Where is everyone getting the info that Green will play this week? I haven't seen anything official.
Considering David Garrard has Crohn's Disease, I think we can knock him out of the game by forcing him to watch Ron Dayne attempt to run the ball 10-15 times. I know it's hard for me to stomach.
Thanks. Man, according to that article, half of the TD's the Texans have scored this year have been scored by players on the injured list. We really need AJ back. It also says that Matt Schaub is 4th in the league in yards-per-pass-play.... and he's throwing to future Hall of Famers like Owen Daniels, Kevin Walter and Andre Davis. Just think how much better this offense will be when everyone comes back.
I predict Houston 26 (4 Kris Brown FGs), Jax 17. Funny... even in a Jaguars' thread Mr. G0d makes his presence noticed...
Texans fans in Austin who want to see the games on local TV do. If KEYE decides to show the Titans instead of the Texans because of ratings, then Texans games will only be able to be seen in sportsbars and pay-per-view like the NFL Sunday Ticket. And that would really suck.
Here's the link: http://www.statesman.com/sports/content/sports/stories/other/10/09/1009vince.html HOUSTON TEXANS Vince Young beats Texans - in the ratings But they won't be shown Sunday By John Maher AMERICAN-STATESMAN STAFF Tuesday, October 09, 2007 Vince Young and his Tennessee Titans edged the Houston Texans in the ratings Sunday, but Young will not get the nod this weekend from KEYE-TV. The local CBS affiliate will air the Texans-Jacksonville Jaguars game on Sunday while the Titans are at Tampa Bay. "We had a choice. ... We're going to attempt to balance them out," said Gary Vinson, the programming/research director for KEYE. The question of whether KEYE ought to air Titans or Texans games is one that is hotly debated among local football fans. This past Sunday seemed like a perfect chance to measure the respective support of the two teams, as they went head-to-head in the same noon time slot with neither team facing an opponent that was much of a draw. "It was fan base vs. fan base," Vinson said. On KEYE, the Texans' last-second 22-19 win over the Miami Dolphins drew a 7.2 rating, which means the game was seen in 43,400 of the 602,340 homes in the Austin viewing area. The Titans' 20-13 victory over the Atlanta Falcons on KTBC earned an 8.9 rating, seen in 53,600 households, Vinson said. In spite of the larger numbers for Young and the Texans, Vinson said, "I think the Texans had a great showing." Vinson said that in some ways, it was still too early to see how the season will play out. KEYE chooses games 12 days in advance. The offering for Oct. 21 is a no-brainer, as the Texans play the Titans. jmaher@statesman.com; 445-3956
HOUSTON Texans win 20-17. Texans always seem to play their best against the city Bud almost moved to. I want to see Green put up 100+ yards and lead one of those slow methodical drive they were having early in the season. Kris Brown nails one as the clock goes to zeros to keep us out of overtime.
I really like how Texans-Jags has turned into a bit of a rivalry. Seems like they are always good games, played tough. I like the Texans by a TD in this one. Texans-24 Jags-17
I think it will be a close low-scoring affair. Texans 10 Jaguars 7 Btw, Gus Johnson and Steve Tasker will call the game for CBS.
This will be the second game in a row where the most important player will be Kris Brown Rocket River
In that case I hope its a nailbiter. Gus Johnson game winning calls might be some of the greatest things you can ever hear.
