If you find Jim Rome funny I could see how you'd find it amusing. But to me it's not funny. It's overkill, a waste of screen space, and just outright annoying.
I'll preface this by saying that I'm not necessarily claiming the Texans would've won with decent officiating. However, is there anywhere that lists who the officials were for today? Reason I ask, next time they're doing a Texans game, I plan on putting a healthy amount of money on the opposition... that was as one-sided a game from an officiating perspective that I've seen in a long, long time. I'm stunned.
I knew Steve Tasker was a butthole when in the promo, he said that the Jags were trying to ride a 4 game winning streak against the Texans!! Uh *******...the Texans swept the Jags last season!!!
This game is a perfect example of why TD/INT ratio is overrated. Schaub had a touchdown to Davis... wasn't his fault Davis held it like a loaf of bread and had it stripped an inch in front of the goal line. Likewise, the "interception" hit Davis right in the hands... and was an incomprehensibly awful call, where the defender pulled it out of his hands after they had both hit the ground!
I hate Jim Rome and everybody who finds him funny, too. But the overkill factor of these announcers is one of the few things I can laugh at right now. Go go bobblehead!
