It was Jameel Cook who lost the fumble. If you want to bash the team, at least pick on the right players.

Another "moral victory" game, another "not Carr's fault' game, another winnable game lost cuz of own costly mistakes. This I believe is the 12th straight loss on the road. BAD game in my opinion, terrible.....

....But Mario got a sack

Sorry for the Lundy/Cook mixup. I watch the game with the sound down and listen to the radio. They must have initially thought it was Lundy and I switched to disgust/sick to my stomach mode. Different player, same analysis. The heat was on and they wilted. And if the Texans play true to their pattern, they will spend the next week congradulating themselves for sticking close to the Giants before giving the game away, say all the right things about getting mentally prepared for the Jags, and then next Sunday they will come out flat and get smoked.

Who actually thought the Texans would have lost by 4 pts in a close game. NOBODY. It was actually a good game.

In all honesty, sportsradio 610 did at first say Lundy. Just a misunderstanding in that respect ...

Then sorry to jump on you like that...

Honestly, we played well. But, like the Dom Capers era, once we got the lead, we played not to lose. The playcalling got really conservative; we apparently tried to milk the clock with 15+ minutes still left in the game. I liked the mix of run/pass early on. Even though our running game was ineffective again, it kept the D honest, for the most part. Carr played well; that dive into the endzone really pumped me up and I thought the D would step up huge...and the offense would feed off of that and at least try a bomb downfield on the first play to see if they could catch the D napping...but oh well. "Moral victories" has become the norm for this team...

What are you people b****ing about? Look at the way the Cowboys lost. Your loss pales in comparison to the ending we endured.

Yeah, we showed improvement in some aspects but, WE STILL LOST! Not enough "difference making" plays.

Exactly! they showed some improvement but they did LOSE. I'm tired of everyone saying "David Carr played good, he didn't loose the game." Ya know what, he didn't win the game either. Until this team gets a Competent qb who is able to pass for more than 200yds on a consistant basis, this team is not going to win. David Carr is not a winner. He made a couple plays today, but not enough. He is a #1 pick who has bee in the League for 5 years and has shownb little improvement. He should be able to to throw for at least one TD or throw for at least 200 yds. He is not a rookie. Not only do they still need a QB. They still need a rb. Yes Wali has had a few good games, but he has also had some pretty crappy games (today: 43 yds). I dont blame him much because he was a 6th round pick and I wasnt expecting him to even be as good as he is. I think he would be fine splitting time with another runner or being a #2 back, but this team needs a rb that can break it open with a big run or has the speed to get to the outside. DD didnt even bring that when he was healthy. The team needs some serious talent quickly and the first positions they need to replace is QB and RB.

If your QB plays well, but your team loses, you DONT get rid of the QB. That doesn't make any sense. Things could be much worse for us at the QB position. Carr didn't throw for a TD today, but he did run for one, and he throws at least 1 TD practically every game.

I liked the short quick passing game that we used today. It was effective. The only problem with that game plan is that it takes at least 10 plays to score. We aren't consistant enough to run that many plays without making a mistake(turnover). But overall I was pleased with our heart & effort, but dissappointed that we didn't get over the hump.

A good game...Competitive and Carr played some much better...It was like he didn't think, it was natural...That's what we need...Next week should be better and I expect us to pick up a win against the jags...

Just got back from the game. There were not too many Texan fans - I saw about 5. However, it was fun being a Texan fan today at Giants stadium. Mario Williams was all over the place and got the crowd all riled up after his sack on Manning. They didn't like him immitating the Giant defenders with that basketball shot. Mario could've had 3 sacks. Fans around me kept yelling Reggie Bush every time Mario made a play. Giant fans were getting real restless in the 4th quarter and i really thought the Texans were going to pull it out. That fumble reallly hurt but I think the Defense which played great all day just got tired and couldnt stop Tiki Barber. It was such a great day for football in the meadowlands and even better for tailgating.

Why would they chant Reggie Bush? I don't get it. Bush is playing like crap. Good to hear Mario got the crowd riled up. I was laughing at his basketball shot, it was hilarious. He just couldn't wait to rub it in their face.
