No question he is going to be a good quarterback, but don't think he still doesn't have flaws. That rollout he did and threw the ball across his body to the middle of the endzone should have been intercepted. He doesn't have the arm strength to force that pass into 3 cover guys. Kubes would have lit into his azz if that ball had been intercepted.
That may be true - but QB's make mistakes. The problem is when you have a QB who only manages a game and still makes mistakes (Carr). If you have a QB that does a lot of good things and makes a lot of plays, then mistakes will come along with that unless you're Peyton Manning. You certainly have to work to minimize them, but no good QB is going to make no mistakes.
So I'm a homer because I'm not ready to throw the team under the bus after 2 losses w/o our best players? Maybe talking about the playoffs were a little premature, but obviously you do care since you take joy in telling us that 2-0 meant nothing and that you hope we got our wakeup call. Everyone has their opinion, but don't you think telling everyone that we were wrong after 2 losses w/o our best players is just as premature as us getting excited about 2 wins? At the end, you could absolutely right, but it's too early for "I told you so" IMO.
Doesn't have anything to do with early record, it is the fact that the Texans are not going to make the playoffs this year. I guess you are the type of homer who next season believes the Astros will make the playoffs, too.
I never predicted the Texans to make the playoffs and still don't. I predicted 8 wins and hope for 9, and feeling pretty gloomy about those prospects with the key injuries. But, this act of calling people "homer" who don't agree with one's own negative take is tired, old, and stupid. As if no one could *possibly* disagree with me unless something was wrong with his perception and judgment. Arrogant. And stupid.
Look up "fact" in the dictionary. It's your opinion (and mine, btw). But that's all it is. To call it "fact" is arrogance.
Your an idiot, how many Saints fans thought they would make the playoffs last year? Last thing we need is a douche like you on your high horse saying the Texans suck.
What doesn't have to do anything with the early record? And as msn posted, you're just making yourself look like an idiot using the word "fact" when we're 4 games into the season. Now if/when we are eliminated from making the playoffs, then it is a fact. Until then, it is just an opinion. And when did I ever say the Texans or Astros will make the playoffs? We're a much improved team but still have a ways to go, but telling people they are wrong after 2 losses is even worse IMO than people saying we could make the playoffs after 2 wins. But troll on I guess.
Maybe ThePrivate should have used "Guarantee" - I don't think the Texans are making the playoffs this year either. What makes you think the are going to make the playoffs? Hasn't Kubiak and Smith turned over the roster in just a year? I could be wrong, but I don't think ThePrivate is saying the Texans suck, just that they are still a year away from making the playoffs.
Which is fine, but don't come around saying things like "I told you so" and "the fact is they won't make the playoffs." That on top of calling posters "homers" because they disagree with him just makes you look like a troll and an ass IMO.
Why is it if someone disagrees with the majority, that person is automatically labeled a "troll?" This message board would be so boring if everyone agreed that the Texans are making the playoffs, the Astros are going to the World Series, the Rockets are going to face and beat the San Antonio Spurs in the conference finals. JMHO.
Its a fact? The Bengals might be 1-3 after tomm and the Chargers are 2-2. Its my opinoin that we would be easily 3-1 right now if we just had AJ. Every team is still in the playoff hunt and that is a fact buddy.
