poor execution in the red zone... Despite the injuries, this team could have been 4-0 if they hadn't shot themselves in the foot so many times the last few weeks. Good teams don't do that.
I was wondering the same thing. . . it is less than a yard. Have Schuab get low and go in. Rocket River
mind-boggling. passing it down the field, hurrying up, then we get to the 20 and run up the middle (wtf?), then waste 30 seconds, then throw short and waste another 40 seconds? we couldn't hurry up either of those plays? football coaches are so caught up in their "take 40 seconds to get a play off" world that they can't even adjust when it's absolutely necessary. that's just shocking. and then by far the worst management of the game. coming off a 2 minute review, we wate 15 ****ING SECONDS huddling up and waiting to snap it when it's absolutely imperative to give them the ball before the 2 minute warning to use it as an extra time out. i've said it for a long time and i'll say it again, football coaches and players are some of the dumbest people on earth. for all of the 20 word play calls, all the 500 page playbooks they memorize, all the defensive schemes, they fail to grasp some of the simplest things. and time management is numero uno. and we miss the kick anyway to complete one of the worst drives in the history of western civilization.
This game negates the win over the Panthers. 2-2 is what I was HOPING for after 4.....but losing to the Falcons is pathetic. They should be 3-1. This sucks.
Honestly . . . this is not a game I counted as a loss Texans will have to beat Indy to make up for this one I said 10-6 . . . after the 1st few weeks. . I thought maybe 11-5 ATL and Miami should be creampuffs. . . injuries or not Rocket River I guess I underestimated ATL
I'm starting to think Kubiak may not be ready to be a head coach he's made really bad coaching errors. The play calling in this game was worst than Dom Capers old play calling.
we got dre coming back next week. we got the other dre emerging as a legit number 2. ahman green should be healthy and starting next week. I still like our chances this season. I see 9-7 at worse, 11-5 doesn't seem out of reach.
man....painful game to watch...i'm telling you guys ATL ain't bad...petrino looks like a really good coach...i still say we are a .500 team.
Two problems with this. One, either way you have to get a touchdown, and I have much more confidence from one yard out than mounting another drive. Two, I'm much more comfortable in the defense getting a stop if the stop includes forcing a field goal (i.e., 75 yards to give) as opposed to nothing at all (i.e., 40 yards to give). Given our defense's performance today, I had zero confidence in the latter to happen and I have no understanding of how Kubiak could've thought otherwise. This is two games in a row with completely inexplicable clock management. The Texans need to bring in someone from outside the organization to sit down with Kubiak and Schaub... this is embarrassing. It's one thing to lose by being outmanned. It's another thing to lose by being ****ing insane, and that's what has happened two weeks in a row now.
