The word "pitiful" sort of captures the whole Houston sports fan experience. As an act of mercy, please stop the post game interviews with the coach and players. Not for me, but for others. I already stopped watching them, they are so pathetic.

Do any of you remember the Ed Peterson post game coaching show during the Oiler's era? It sort of captured what I am feeling right now.

You can't expect the offense to step up EVERY f.cking time. If they "step up" even most of the time, you probably have a guy named Peyton or Tom at the helm. The defense simply HAS to do their part. They simply don't.

You're right. Offense didn't execute in the fourth quarter.

But defense still allowed 34 points. Scoring more than 34 on the road against a decent defense is asking a lot.

I would love to see david carr against our defense, might go for 370+ yards.
on 3rd and 17 the defense goes brain dead because they sat back on a zone, could have been a one possession game with no need for Matt to rush things.

Frank bush got away from what was working on defense. Oh hey, let me sit back in a zone and make vick comfortable. =/

He made some big mistakes... trust me, everytime Schaub makes a mistake, there are no less than 15 posts about it.

Never seen that sort of hypercritcism for any other Texan... especially the ones that make mistakes ALL THE TIME.

In the end, Schaub needs to be a combination of Joe Montana and John Elway to have won this game... he is not that. He did keep them in it, but they were facing a pretty damn good overall team.

It would have helped. The pi on dressen and the hit to the head on schaub.

That's an excuse though and I'll take it back. We didn't deserve to win.

Schaub isn't bad by any means. Just don't expect him to be in the class of Brees/Brady/Rivers/etc. that we all thought he might become due to last season. He's more like an Eli Manning who can put up the numbers, but tends to make some bad decisions.

Only the Giants are worse and they signed their return men from the street.

He's a good QB, don't want to sound like I'm saying he sucks but he shouldn't be shielded from criticism either. The mistakes he made tonight separate the elite QBs from the good ones. I guess I thought Schaub would make that leap this year after week 2 but haven't seen it.

The Schaub apologists just want to have it both ways on him. He's Mr. Pro Bowl MVP, Mr. Elite QB, but he puts up empty stats and doesn't make the plays that win games like an elite QB. It's the same ole same ole. Last year it wasn't Schaub's fault because he didn't have a running game. This year he has the best running game in football but now it's the defenses fault that we're always behind at the half and play catch up football all game long. Next it'll be the line's fault or the play calling or the zone blocking or the sun and the moon, whatever.

He doesn't make plays to win games? How many 4th quarter comebacks have the texans had this season? FYI the texans have led the NFL in 4th quarter points since Schaub has been the qb, just ahead of Manning.

your post doesnt even make sense, Schaub was phenomenal last season, not sure how you can say otherwise. And the defense this year is historically the worst in NFL history. He is clearly not a top 5 QB, but blaming him when the team has as many holes as it does is ludicrous. How many QBs would you honestly take over him? Without him, the team is in no position to even come close to winning

He is an average QB that has played below average this year.

You're def not a English major. That's for sure. And no I'm not going to pull a SCK. Nice try though, bud.

Go smoke something. It may make you feel better.

Michael Vick has now thrown for more 300 yard games this season than in all of his previous seasons combined.
