Apples and oranges, man. Are you suggesting every sport should have the same playoff system? That would be ridiculous. NBA teams play so many more games, NFL teams only play their division foes EVERY year no matter what. Just the way it is. Sometimes a team with a "lesser" record is going to make it in over a team in another (maybe weaker) division.
