I wouldn't bet on it; if that was the case we wouldn't have ended up with bennie freaking joppru. More likely is that the Texans don't see that much difference in their draft grades between players 30-90 I think Simms goes to Miami maybe with their upcoming pick?
Anyone else getting a little tired of the "What does your team need?" commercial , it was cute at first now it just bugs me. I'm hoping we somehow get Onterio smith too. Anyone got any details on his "attitude" problems that's listed as his biggest question mark?
hahha yea I thought that commerical was funny the first 5 times. I'm suprised Lee Suggs hasn't been taken yet?
Yep. Me too. Just think about the other cities! Heh heh... Most people here in Maryland are interested in the Texans, because they are NOT the Cowboys. So, it's not like I get any crap from Redskin or Raven fans.
HOLY CRAP CHECK IT OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think we got New England's FIRST ROUNDER next year in that trade!!!!!!!! http://www.nfl.com/draft/drafttracker/trades Patriots Get Texans Get 2nd round, No. 36: Eugene Wilson, CB, Illinois 4th round, No. 117 2nd round, No. 41: Ben Joppru, TE, Michigan 1st round, 2004 draft
Smith is 5'10", at 220. Not bad. Check this out... "Lower-body strength evidenced by 535-lb. squat which ranks fifth on school's all-time list among running backs. Possess unusually quick feet, which aids lateral movement and makes it difficult for defenders to grab a hold."
Areas for Concern: Smith needs to prove he can shoulder the offensive load for an entire season. He's not an overpowering back, so if defenses don't respect the passing game minus QB Joey Harrington, they will fill the box and not allow Smith much room to maneuver. Then there's something of his checkered past. Smith was originally a recruit of Tennessee's, but he was bounced from the team after testing positive for mar1juana. He transferred to Oregon, but trouble still followed him there. A couple weeks before the 2001 season began, Smith was arrested for drunken driving. He was under the age of 21 and was driving with a suspended license.
I don't know, it makes more sense for us, I don't see why we'd do the trade just to turn one of our 4th rounders into a third rounder. Oh man, I hope its true. Maybe that's why ESPN and the rest don't have our additonal 3rd rounder listed yet?
Ok, on the Texans meassage board, they are saying that the NE trade 1st rounder report is a mistake. Anyway, wow, look at those Tennessee guys slipping. Kelley Washington and Jason Witten, allegedly the #3 WR and #1 TE, still onthe board in the late 2d round!
Hopefully we grab Hunter, O Smith, M.Smith TSuggs with this upcoming selection. What about Kelley Washington? I know we got Andre, but take a chance maybe? Or sucker somebody into giving us a 2d and change next year for him or Jason Witten?
