Good lord!If Boss Bailey is around at #36, TAKE HIM QUICK!!! (Unfortunately, there's like a 5% chance of him dropping to us at that time.) I think our second round pick will be either Eric Steinbach, Mike Doss, or Jason Witten.

The top rated LB Boss Bailey is still on the board. If he slips into the 2nd round to the texans it should be a no brainer. Most mocks had him as a top 13 pick or so.

    Boss Bailey
    OLB | (6-3, 233, 4.38) | GEORGIA
    By Pro Football Weekly

Notes: Brother of Redskins CB Champ Bailey. Boss was a high school sprinter, hurdler and football star who suffered a torn left anterior cruciate ligament his senior year in high school. Played in every game at Georgia as the No. 2 strong-side linebacker in 1998. Started every game in '99. Tore his right anterior cruciate ligament on the opening kickoff in 2000 and redshirted. Came back to start all but one game at strong-side linebacker in '01 and was named second-team All-Southeastern Conference. Had right knee scoped after the season, but came back to make his senior season his best. Had 21 tackles, two tackles for loss and one interception in 1998; 66 tackles, 51 sacks, one pass broken up and an interception in '99; 65 tackles, six for loss, one sack and five interceptions in '01 (two picks vs. Florida) and 114-6-91-4 in '02 (including bowl game).

Positives: Very active, athletic linebacker with excellent speed and range. Can run like a deer and boasts a 42- to 46-inch vertical leap. Looks like a blur on back-side pursuit. Has the speed to run with a wide receiver and sideline-to-sideline range. Catches the ball well. Stood out in the SEC championship game vs. Arkansas. Jumper on placements and has gotten his hand on a few, blocking three kicks in '02. Times his jumps well. Some team are looking at him as a safety.

Negatives: Built for speed but not power and does not use his hands very well to shed. As a result, will get wired to the blocker at times and is more of a run-around than take-on player. Will overrun plays and miss way too many tackles. Had eight or nine missed tackles in the '02 Alabama game. Does not always finish plays or play downhill.

Summary: Will be a first-rounder because of his speed, athleticism and bloodline.

I was happy when Willis got picked, good for him.... wish him luck, it'll be a long uphill battle for the kid but he got paid and now he can concetrate on football and rehabbing his leg.

I don't think Texans will go rb in the 2nd.... can Boss Bailey play safety, I saw a feature with him and his brother Champ and Champ said Boss was actually faster, hmmm.

    Yes,

    Cecil Sapp
    RB | (5-10, 229, 4.62) | COLORADO STATE
    By Pro Football Weekly

Notes: Ran 4.55 at 217 pounds in 2001. Redshirted in '98. Carried six times for 40 yards and a touchdown in three games in '99. Split time in 2000, carrying 151-841-10 and catching three passes for 47 yards and one score. Stood out at the Liberty Bowl vs. Louisville, when he rushed 36-160-1 and was named MVP. Fractured a bone in his lower right leg in spring of '01. Had a benign tumor removed from his left heel in fall '01. Was pudgy and not ready for a lot of action in the spring but was outstanding in the '02 opener vs. Virginia, rushing for nearly 180 yards. Continued to excel for the rest of the year and finished with 328-1,495-17 to go along with 12 catches for 63 yards. Gained 932 of his rushing yards after contact and was a unanimous All-Big West Conference pick.

Positives: Came back from major medical problems to have his best season. A true warrior with stamina, staying power and toughness and an excellent inside runner with tremendous hip and leg strength. Looks much more natural and agile running inside than outside. Runs tough, breaks tackles, finishes his runs and can catch the ball. Sapp is a big, powerful runner with good vision, skill and balance.

Negatives: Is not an effective or gifted outside runner. Lacks experience blocking, does not really seem to want to block and has a hard time with blitz pickups. Didn't have a strong week of practice at the Senior Bowl because he was tentative.

Summary: A good, tough, workhorse back who does his best running inside the tackles.

this is kinda off the subject...

If David Klingler was drafted by any other team than The Bengals, would he have developed?

take best non qb, non wr player available. Hopefully there'll be a rb worth taking a flier on with the 1st rounder next year. (Clarrett?)

I'm not so sure about thatt, but it's not as if Jordan Gross was a must-have, superstar OT. I mean, I'm sure he'll be an excellent pro, but he is not Jonathan Ogden or Orlando Pace.

I think the Gap between Gross and the Tackles that are available at 36 and later is a LOT Less than that between A. Johnoson and the receivers.

I think he could have. As could have Akili Smith or Andre Ware. It's so important for a QB to get good coaching early on. There's very few Tommy Maddox types out there.
