I like your assessment of the TE, but I think either Graham or Dickerson bill be starting next year. Maybe Owen will have a breakout year and get us some compensation through free agency.
True every prospects has places they like and dislike but to use words like "scared" tells me he's a bit immature. It's also unprofessional.
He's a kid, he was being interviewed a lot on a hectic day, I wouldn't put much stock into it. Wrong word choice, but he's not exactly in the PR business.
http://espn.go.com/blog/afcsouth Texans He calls first-round corner Kareem Jackson “a predictable, safe pick” and said Ben Tate looks even better as a value at 58 considering Minnesota traded up to take Toby Gerhart at 51. Sixth-rounder Trindon Holliday “could be the next Dante Hall.” Even seventh-rounder Dorin Dickerson “has promise at tight end if he can add strength.” (The Texans are going with him as a wide receiver to start.) “Nothing amazing, but plenty of promise.” His grade: B
I'm very biased, but color me unimpressed by Ulatoski. He was getting destroyed throughout the A&M-UT game by Von Miller, and was very fortunate to not get called for holding on a bunch of plays
I'm really feeling our picks. I'm also glad that we probably don't have to see Andre Davis return kicks any more!
I think he meant scared cause he didn't want to leave Cali cause he played college in Cali. Plus with the chargers, he would be the clear cut number one. IF Slaton is healthy next season then he would have to compete with him. Anyways, they paid a steep price and overpaid for him so I didm't feel bad that the Texans didn't draft him.
Also I forgot to say its John Mclain's fault for tipping the Texans hand that we lost out on Matthews. For a couple months straight he kept on saying how the scouts at the combine told him that Matthews was the perfect player for their system and should draft him if he was available. He should of just shut his mouth until the draft was over.
McClain is never right about anything. I think someone put it perfectly that he's a giant billboard for the Texans to advertise misinformation to the public with.
I think that's a huge tell. If that's how his brain works, I think the Texans might have dodged a bullet by not drafting him.
I'm a UT fan who went to multiple games last year. Ulatoski will be awful. I was never impressed with that guy
Just for the record, Im not saying he's a good guy and yeah, I dont think highly of him because of his situation. There is no reason for that. But, I also have a hard time calling him a bad person...a human being I'd take seriously, probably not...but I still cant call him a bad person until I know more about him.
Dorian Dickerson on film reminds me of Hines Ward, with more speed. He should be a great down field blocker like Hines too. By fathering a multitude of children with different mothers under different roofs you a re guaranteeing that the children will be deprived of a loving father figure as a constant in their lives. It's selfish, abusive and narcisistic. It's absolutely damaging to the children and probably to their mothers. It makes you a bad guy. You might be able to fully commit to the responsibility and work your ass off to fulfill it, but if you are the guy who got into this situation, you are probably not the guy who can make it work.
If the Chargers hadn't moved up the board to take him...and had he fallen to the Texans...I believe he would have been their first round pick.
I was absolutely shocked to read the Texans were surprised when the Vikes took Gerhardt. Trading the pick without understanding all the implications is pure stupid. If you don't know who they are taking, who you prefer and what moves you are going to take to get him, you keep the pick.
In this day and age, if you aren't spreading disinformation using your local media, you are not trying, LOL I would have loved to see us trade back and select Kareem Jackson but I guess they couldnt find the right deal.
