Cincinnati Bearcats safety Aaron Webster signed with the Texans. http://www.kffl.com/team/18/nfl http://espn.go.com/ncf/player/profile?playerId=187863
I am actually very excited about Dickerson, Mayock has been all over this dude since day 1. I really want to see what Kubes and Dennison can do with this kid.
The one Buff that could catch a football this season, I've watched him a lot, probably the only guy on the Colorado team that has a shot at the nfl
Bowling Green QB Tyler Sheehan signed with the Texans. http://twitter.com/BGathletics http://espn.go.com/ncf/player/profile?playerId=184518 Northwestern State fullback Isaiah Greenhouse also signed with the Texans. http://twitter.com/NFLDraftBible Indiana Safety Nick Polk also signed with the Texans. http://iuhoosiers.cstv.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/polk_nick00.html Tackle Kristaim Matte of The Concordia Stingers signed with the Texans. http://twitter.com/The_Stingers
Lol. Mathews is happy SD traded up to get him, AND was "Scared" about coming to Houston. I really hope this physical defense thing works out, because Mathews will also be 'Scared' to play against Houston also.
I just read that quote from Mathews...wtf is he talking about? Scared about the talk of Houston picking him and that he is lucky the Chargers traded up to get him? Ummm, okay. What a puss. Now I have the Chargers game circled on the calendar. I hope Tate dominates and Mathews gets Cushed.
Forgot about the link, I had to rush off to see if we played the Chargers this year....it's a home game too. After it, I hope Mathews is terrified of ever coming to Houston again. I understand the guy wanting to stay close to home, i'm sure Earl Thomas would much rather fall to us then go to Seattle...but that little bit of being 'scared' lol that wasn't really needed. If not Cushing then I hope the bonecrusher gets a good shot at him
In his defense, he's grew up 200 miles from San Diego. So him wanting to play for them isn't exactly a shocker.
I agree with the fact that he'd want to stay close to home, but chances were that he was going to play for a team other than the chargers, so moving to a new city shouldn't have been scary for him. Just a weird thing to say...it should be an honor and privilege for him to be taken in the first round, regardless of where that may be. He couldn't even start for his crappy program the year before...he should be counting his lucky stars. I'll say it now. Overrated.
lol Mathews scared. Heres Ben Tate's reaction to getting drafted http://www.houstontexans.com/tv/index.asp?mm_file_id=4064&play_clip=Y
Here's a list of the undrafted free agents the Texans have signed so far: Aaron Webster, S, Cinci Isiaih Greenhouse, FB, NW St. Jack Corcoran, FB, Rutgers Kristian Matte, OL, Concordia Tyler Sheehan, QB, Bowling Green Adam Ulatoski, OL, Texas Steve Maneri, OT/TE, Temple Cole Pemberton, OT, Colorado State Mitch Unrein, DE, Wyoming http://www.nepatriotsdraft.com/p/2010-nfl-undrafted-free-agents.html
Could either be like JJ Moses (weak) Gerald "Ice Cube" McNeil (decent, yay 80's). Or Dante Hall (good value where picked). A creative offensive coordinator (on the Texans, HA) can put him in space and let him utilize that speed. Or, he can replace KR/"true receiver" Andre Davis getting paid $3.5 mil a season for a 2009 total 6 catches for 59 yards
It SHOULD be bad. We're not being rough on that enough really. We're in this age of rationalize everything and give tolerance to everything we can. To the point of pushing it way there's non-involvement and indifference to everything. If you knew your next door neighbor had 9 kids by 8 different women in 5 different states, you'd think less of him. Would you ADVOCATE have 9 kids by 8 women in 5 different states? Money isnt enough to pacify that. IF he's even going to hang on to enough money for the end of his career. Its hard enough for him gameplan against 9 guys on on offense and thats his job. He's gonna devise a good gameplan toward 9 KIDS? He might not be a "bad guy", but he's at least a joke.
Come on. Every prospect has places he wants to be and places he wishes to avoid. So no reason to knock him on that. What I'm curious to know is WHY he doesn't like Houston. We're not exactly the Lions or the Rams. There's no reason why he can't put up numbers here. I guess my only guess is that he doesn't like the weather or something. Because from an organizational standpoint, the Texans are a pretty RB-friendly place.
I think it was just that he knew that people were saying that Houston was looking at him closely in the first round.
