Daniels = Injured (career threatening, may not be retained as a UFA next year) Dreessen = Injured (should be ready to start the season, 2 years left) Hill = Injured (career threatening, may not even make team this year) James Casey = Promising (but can't block) Graham = Special teams & likely 3rd string TE next year after Daniels and Hill are gone. Dickerson = Special teams & likely won't play as much TE as HB/FB. So there you go.
Doesn't look like any TE I've ever seen, special teamer at worst... neat little weapon in the passing game at best. embedding disabled http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O9fZQpuoJ_Q
the 4th round is still early enough to find starters, not guys who will exclusively play special teams
I have no problem getting a solid special teamer and someone to compete with Diles and Adibi for the final LB position in the 4th. If anything, it's depth in case the unthinkable happens, which usually does to guys that play the most contact heavy positions like that.
Moronic if he still produces post-injury and none of the guys we have can replicate his performance, then yes.
I agree. I'm not saying they need a great backup, but Dan O is among the worst backups in the league, I don't understand how he is still in the league at this point. I would have liked to grab a young guy
Garcia is pretty much retired. Grossman signed with the Redskins. Chris Simms signed eith the Titans. The Texans will sign a undrafted QB like a Jarrett Brown, Jevan Snead, Matt Nichols, or Tim Hiller to be the 3rd QB.
Some players we may look at that are undrafted. Peek, Colin -TE Geer, Riar -TE Mastrud, Jeron -TE Palmer, Michael -TE
Peek signed with the Falcons. Keep in mind the Texans signed veteran TE Michael Gaines yesterday as a mini camp body as the other players get healthy.
