yeah, generally...youre stereotyping there. Being irresponsible does not automatically make you a bad person. Youre basically making a blanket statement, which is very naive.
Sweet. We got Gary Coleman returning punts now. Trindon Holliday (KR) * Height: 5'5" * Weight: 166 lbs. * College: LSU * Conference: SEC Round: 6 Pick (Overall): 28 (197) Discuss Combine Stats 40 Yd Dash 4.34 secs Overview Holliday is an explosive return specialist who has the ability to take it all the way virtually every time he touches the ball. He gets a quick jump on the ball as it comes off the kicker's foot and does a good job of settling under it to make the catch. He has the kind of elusiveness that can make would-be tacklers grab air and knows how to set up his blockers. He does have a tendency to rely on his pure speed alone and needs to learn how to alter his speed and save something in reserve. With his speed and acceleration, he has a chance to be drafted late in spite of his lack of size and severe limitations as a wide receiver.
Um... what? "Bad" behavior is subjective, so by nature it's supposed to be generalized... it can't be really quantified. Irresponsible behavior is bad behavior in my book, whether there is intent or not is irrelevant, if that's what you're getting at.
Well, that at least removes the scariest moment in every Texans' game from the equation; the Jacoby Jones punt catch.
Irresponsability = bad. What your saying is something like being a bad person doesn't make you bad. If you are irresponsible, it is a flaw in your character. Major character flaws = bad person.
Youre saying that he is a bad person...because he has acted irresponsibly. So basically, it doesnt matter what other positive characteristics he possesses. Has he hurt anyone? If he is not taking care of his kids financially and emotionally, then I would agree he is not a good person. But, having multiple children with multiple women doesnt make you a bad person.
I like the pick, if you can get Holliday in space, FORGET ABOUT IT. Problem I see with the dude is keeping him healthy because if he ever gets a direct hit, it might be lights out.
No, I'm saying acting irresponsibly is a bad thing to do. If you go around acting irresponsible all the time, that pretty much makes you a bad person. I never said he was incapable of doing good things. But what he did was irresponsible and that is generally considered bad behavior. You said that he was not a responsible guy but that doesn't make him bad; I don't think that makes sense and I don't agree with it.
Really? I looked up the defintion...didnt realize that forgetting to pay a bill makes you a bad person. You should send Merriam Webster your definition, because its definitely universal truth.
I agree that his behavior is poor in those instances, but I wouldnt call him a bad person because there is obviously more to him that we dont know about. If he is causing harm to people or not taking care of his responsibilities, then saying he's a bad person is legit. Neither of us knows him enough to call him a bad person.
I wonder what OD would bring back in a trade coming off the ACL? I mean we have 6 now and today's pick was an OD clone, so I would be ok trading him for a high pick next year. Trading him for a good safety would be ideal but not to many to be had.
Still some good developmental quarterbacks left the Texans could draft in the 7th round or sign as undrafted free agents. Jarrett Brown, Jevan Snead, Tim Hiller, and Levi Brown all have some potential.
Mike Mayock, NFL Network 197 -- Texans -- KR Trindon Holliday Holliday is really an interesting pick for the Texans. He's one of the smallest players in college football, but arguably the fastest. His primary use will be on special teams as a return man. But, over time, he could develop into a slot receiver and someone you try and get the ball to on reverses and bubble screens. He's a play-maker in space.
Bad doesn't mean mean. Bad - Not achieving an adequate standard; poor Full of or exhibiting faults or error Not working properly; defective Injurious in effect; detrimental Disagreeable, unpleasant, or disturbing Yep. Each of those fit. Lets come at it from another way. In traditional thought there are seven deadly sins. Of those seven, which does he meet? Pride - no Greed - no Lust - check Envy - no Gluttony - check Acedia - check Wrath - no When you are poster boy for 3 of the 7 deadly sins, you are a bad person.
