I actually think the Vikings might have gamed the Texans. My gut is telling me the Texans wanted Gerhert but didn't see the Vikes taking him when they made that deal.

Reshad Jones would be nice as a 3rd rounder

I've never seen so many positive posts in a row from any Texans thread.

Went to shower... what did it cost us to move back up.

I want all the 3rd round pick we can get.

Nah, you can ask them and if they lie they are burned for life.

Well Cleveland traded up to get a RB right behind us, so my guess is they would have taken Tate had we not.

I doubt that. Schefter said it was pretty common knowledge that the Vikes liked Gerhart, and he seems the perfect fit for a power blocking system - not exactly the one-cut zone blocking type.

Gotta love it. Texans Fans eternally optimistic about the picks, then turn into jaded pessimists when the Rockets are picking.

Since the Browns took a RB right after the Texans, I guess the Texans' fear seems pretty reasonable?

Tate seems to me like a pretty damn good fit. Doesn't dance, one cut and go, top notch straight line speed, and a bit of a bowling ball.

    This year I assume?

So basically they gave up their pick and a 5 for tate and a 3rd? I look at it that way since they had to give to move back up to grab him, when they just could have picked him. I don't know much about these prospects but if both backs are in the same class then I like the move.

Seems the trade up was necessary as the Browns took a RB with the next pick.

I dont think that would be the case here...my guess would be that the Texans knew the Vikings wouldnt take Tate and thus did the trade.

Man two picks in the third now. Most exciting round evar!

They still need safety and interior linemen.

Even if they thought Gerhert wouldn't be taken..is he THAT MUCH better than Tate to not warrant getting that extra third?

Tate sounds good. He weighs 220 and runs a 4.34. The Texans need someone that can run it in from the 1/2 yard line.

Now we need to concentrate on:

    OT
    Safety
    DT
    WR

I think they need a DT much more that a T... Probably need a G/C more so than a T
