I love why type of players Rick Smith is bringing in for the defense. Antonio Smith, Brian Cushing, Connor Barwin, Bernard Pollard, Glover Quin, and Kareem Jackson are all tough, physical players and we know this defense lacked that going into last season. I still think they will draft a nose tackle, weak side linebacker, and free safety before the draft is over. I like how this defense is taking shape. I think Jonathan Dwyer is the RB they have targeted either in the 2nd or 3nd round. However, I wouldn't be surprised if they draft a safety and defensive tackle before a RB. Last year, we all expected them to draft a RB and they never did. They did sign a couple of undrafted running backs in Arian Foster and Jeremiah Johnson. I am a BIG fan of both players.
There is when all you do is antagonize fans, and not bring any real substance to the table. At that point, you're not just being an ******* to Texans fans.....you're being an ******* PERIOD.
Now you're comparing losses and mistakes we make ON THE FIELD to the players we acquire in the draft?? Would you attribute of any of our losses last season to Brian Cushing? Or Glover Quin? Or DeMeco? How about Mario? No, right? So then how is your optimism set back with the players Rick Smith and Gary Kubiak DRAFT?? You're just finding ways to be unhappy now. Quit while you can save SOME face (albeit not a lot).
LMAO. Live presser going on now on HT.com ... Berman just spouted off at John Mcclain since mcclain was asking all the questions. "John, is it ok if I ask a question?"

LOL! I was going to post that  Frank Bush said Kareem was the highest rated defensive player on their board(With what they needed)...IDK if he meant overall...or if he meant remaining. I'd be amazed if they had him over Berry or Haden. If so, we really got the guy we wanted, in the end that is what really matters.
I wonder if a big part of taking Jackson over Wilson was the fact that we face Jones-Drew and the Young-Johnson option a combined 4 times a year. Could be they felt a physical corner was more important than a cover corner, especially when our secondary (Pollard aside) generally plays two hand touch. I figured they'd be gun shy about Williams, despite the need, considering another DT bust 1st round pick would be the end for all involved. We'll see what happens this fall. I'm just glad we were able to take our pick among defensive players.
i'm sure he meant in terms available, or at least the possibilities. I'm sure they didnt hardly bothered ranking haden and Berry because they were going to be gone.
Yeah, if they had him over Berry or the high-ranked DT's they need to have their head's checked. Surely he meant highest remaining on the board.
He just didn't specify though so thats why I wonder. And yeah it's possible they didn't even have Berry, Suh, McCoy, or Haden on their board because they know those were top 10 guys and it was unlikely they'd fall. But what Bush said made it seem of the players they thought they were going to get, they had Mathews first and Jackson second.
Jackson, Wilson, McCourty and maybe even Robinson were all in the same group. So it's hard to say they were right or wrong in picking one over the over until we see them play. I am eager to see who else they pick up in 2 and 3. Odds are RB and DT but now is where it gets interesting
Only second round mock I could find. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/...d-mock-draft-clausen-falls-to-browns-at-no-38 Taylor Mays going at 49. Can you imagine if he fell to the Texans?
