When it gets later in the draft, the commentators stop actively covering the draft. They just talk football and teams while the picks appear at the bottom of the screen. Then every 5-10 picks they'll stop and give a little blurb about each player then go back to ignoring the picks for awhile.
Some of the Sports Radio 610 crew bet a bunch of money that Teddy B would be drafted in the first round. Can't remember who all, Pendergast, Nick Wright and some others.
The four teams left to draft do not need a QB. Hopefully they will not trade down, though if anyone does it's going to be those blasted Patriots...
I think it must be the r****ds on 610 Lopez and Wright who said it will be one of the most tragic days in Houston sports history if they don't take a QB with their #1 overall selection. Even worse than the Buffalo 35-3 disaster.
Pendergast/Nick Wright/Ted Johnson collectively bet $60K to win $50K that Bridgewater would go first round. Check Pendergast's twitter. He's been lamenting it all night.
I figured Arizona would go defense. Bruce likes big QB's (Big Ben, Luck). Texans don't have to trade back into the 1st... But I wouldn't be surprised if they don't take a quarterback with their next pick.
