Honestly and I've said this a million times on here, the qb they've wanted the whole time is still on the board. Logan Thomas and Tom Savage. They're both big raw qbs that just need the right motivator. I think O'Brien can make Logan Thomas elite and I think that's the type of thinking he's betting on. They're gonna fill needs until its absolutely necessary and he'll still be there and if he's not ho with FitzPatrick

I think O'Brien didn't get to get the quarterback he wanted so he's saying F it and wait till next year. Even if they draft a quarterback this late in the draft I'm not expecting O'Brien to be able to turn him into a franchise quarterback.

And if they think Mallet is the answer I'm worried.

    I'd like Desir as well.

Logan Thomas interests me in the early sixth of we can.

That defensive front that they've built is gonna create plenty of turnovers. In fact, it is what will get Kareem Jackson paid. He's gonna have a career year.

    Meh...

Just the same several of these quarterbacks will be there in the 6th and 7th round and or may even go undrafted. Most of the teams with big quarterback needs have filled them. So the Texans can wait.

Oh, and this is honestly the first Rick draft where I can say I truly believe we are sticking to our board. I think it really shows how much of a (bad) influence Gary had.

Kiper says BO' B loves McCarron and he is the perfect system QB.

I love what we've done so far.

    #1 DE
    #2 G
Big physical blocker at TE (perfect for Bill's 3 TE sets)
    #1 NT

Brown/Filo/Myers/Brooks/Quiz, Williams or Newton. Still need help on the right side but improved.
    Watt/Nix/Clowney (salivate)

It was a psyche move by Belichek to steal Garopollo and had me a bit bummed, but what a move by Smith - he ignored it by not panicking and taking the next best available QB.
Instead, he Ninja-psyched him back by taking the player Patriots fans had their hearts set on and was in their newspapers too..
And the move paid off when we were still able to pick up Nix!!!
Great move = highlight of our draft so far.
    Take zat, Belichek.

Oh yeah - and they wasted a precious second round pick to do it too.

Yep. Belichick though he'd force the Texans to trade the 3rd pick for Mallet after stealing what he thought was the QB BOB wanted. But then Smith/BOB Belichick'ed Belichick by taking the player he wanted and then stealing Nix. Now NE is stuck with 2 crappy back-up QBs. That's what you call ownage.

This is the most satisfied I've been with a draft in a long time.
