Dolphins cut Benny Sapp, one of the two backup CBs that were burned, roasted, and boiled by Tom Brady Monday Night. {Brady generally threw away from the two starters (Davis, Smith)} Nolan Carroll was the other guy getting abused badly, mainly by Deion Branch. Signed Will Allen to take Sapp's place. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/6968748/miami-dolphins-sign-allen-defensive-debacle-source-says Short week, half the DBs cramped up in the game, roster change. Doesn't bode well for that secondary.
Interesting, wasn't Benny Sapp the guy that broke up the screen pass that was tipped and returned for a TD Monday night?
I think this game hinges on keeping Schaub clean. We won't have a field day running. Miami will score on us, we're going to have to throw the ball and convert in the RZ. Not going to make any friends with this prediction... but: Miami - 27 Texans - 23
So that means he can play???.....Jacque Reeves caught the most tip pass interceptions I've ever seen, see where it got his azz!!!
Sapp didnt have the tipped pass interception...he was the one that made the play that led to the interception.
You were comparing the Sapp situation to Reeves...your comparison was wrong. Im just pointing out the flaw in your post.
Im comparing that because Sapp made a play or couple of plays, doesnt mean someone should be shocked by the Dolphins cutting him... Therefore Sapp/Reeves analogy.... No flaw in the post though I appreciate the attempted input
Just watched a dynamo game the other day. This might come off racist. But the Hispanic population in Houston are the roudiest fan base there is. Would be nice to have a majority mexican population inside a game in Reliant.
If you can tell me how many turnovers each will have ..... The Colts got rolled on the momentum of Kerry Collins fumble-fingers in the first quarter. The fumbles dictated the emotion and the strategy of the game. The Colts were forced to pay catch-up But NE defense is built to stop the run, the Texans are now built to get to the QB, so I think the Fins will try to run the ball more and Henne won't get near 300 yards passing especially if the game stay close and the Texans offense doesn't blow them out. I'm a little worried to think that Barwin and Mario have to pick up Bush on the edges but I think Wade will be on that. We might see Brooks Reed on Bush some. If I am the Fins, I drop into coverage on every bootleg. Schaub is the slowest human being not currently walking with a cane. But I don't think I have ever seen a quarterback have as comfortable night in the pocket as Brady had, even after they lost their C. The Fins pass rush looked like a bunch of 'has beens' so.. (assuming an equal amount of turnovers) Texans 27 Dolphins 20
Aha - but therein lies the beauty of the bootleg: How do you know it's a bootleg? If the Dolphins drop back into coverage consistently, Foster, et al, will run for 300 yards. It is very much a pick-your-poison proposition, and very nearly unstoppable.
