Ugh... Kubiak went in his shell again. QB draw with Matt Schaub (and his shoulder) on 2nd and goal? Not going to complain about 27-0, though. There are much worse things in the world than not coaching well with a 27-point lead.
Bengals end up with a touchdown resulting from a blocked/fake punt or some other ridiculous BS. Lead 7-0 despite having only 59 total yards.
this game has spawned the best tweet of the day! RT*@FauxJohnMadden:*I*find*it*fitting*the*Texans*have*a*"big*ass"*lead*over*Miami*with*J-Lo*watching*the*game*in*person. LOLphins!
I'm sorry, that was a truly ridiculous call. I know the officials want Miami to get back in this game for competitive TV reasons, but Barwin was clear as day back onside.
Something to think about - if the Chiefs somehow look like they're going to beat the Bengals (tied at the half), do we then start cheering for the Ravens? Which scenario is more likely - Oakland beating Baltimore, or the Jets beating the Bengals (in NY) and Baltimore beating Oakland. (That way, Baltimore wins the AFC and the Bengals tie Houston.) I may prefer the latter.
For clarification, even if it's a four-way tie between Denver, Houston, Cincinnati and Pittsburgh at 9-7, the Texans would still be in. Pittsburgh would be eliminated in the first step by losing the division tiebreaker to Cincinnati. Cincinnati would then be eliminated based on losses to both Denver and Houston.
The main thing is that we still have to beat new england next week. Is Manning playing today for Indy against the Jets?
Yeah he's playing. Another benefit to the Patriots' romp over Jacksonville is that they clinch the AFC East, and with San Diego's win on Friday, they can't get a bye. So they have very, very little to play for next week.
