We would beat Atlanta. Idc who would be favored or not. Atl's D is pathetic beyond words. We're beating Cleveland too.
They're 3-1. And in a division that still includes 4 games against Tenn and Jax and other very winnable games. Why are you putting the gravestone out on this season?
hahaha i know, right? Simply win all 4 against Tenn and Jax... and beat Cleveland, Pittsburgh, and one of Dallas/Indy/Baltimore/Philly/Cinci. Boom 10 Wins.
yea.. like when Houston is 3-1 and "start Ryan Mallett because it can't get worse" threads are created.
Anyone going to the game? I somehow managed to snag some cheap tickets. I also just booked a suite at the W so it's going to be a fun weekend!
Really it is. Your previous comment was inaccurate.. likely due to emotion. You're low balling Romo by calling him average, but for kicks let's deem him average, it still contradicts your previous statement of DAL being below average at everything except their run game. Witten doesn't have to be prime to contradict your statement... as long as he isn't "below average". Dez is all-world. Cowboys defense has been go enough to have them leading the NFC in point diff, 10th in the NFL in PPG, and tied for 4th in takeaways. Your statement was inaccurate on many levels.
I don't know what you're looking at, but I'm assuming those are SRO. You're not going to find tickets for $100 at this point. I spent $322 for a pair at Sec 304. This is my first free weekend in months and I haven't had a getaway in some time. The weather should be great, so I'm definitely looking forward to it.
legit. You should check out zaza hotel on Saturday or concrete cowboy / kung fu saloon if you want a good bar scene.
my friend usually buy on stub hub 15 min before game and spend around $260 each for the club 200 level or $320 each for the club 100 level. $100 each is definitely SRO.
I hate the notion that not thinking your team is going win makes you a bad fan. Who's the better fan? The one expecting a loss, but watches anyway? Or the one who has to convince themselves their team is better than it really is? If you're really a fan, you'll watch regardless of how bad your team is, and wont have to convince yourself that they're better than they are
This team isn't winning a championship this year. Risk Clowney's long term health for a playoff exit? Not buying it. No Gravestone here.
Should be a blast, man. DAL is great. I used to hate on them like most Houstonians, but the more I see, the more I like it. Their uptown area is nice and they're plenty of eateries around the stadium. Drive into downtown from the north on 35E... Uptown + downtown skylines look like a baby CHI. Awesome freeways too. Enjoy.
That's not what I was saying at all, I was talking about those that constantly downplay their team even when compared to lesser teams. "The grass is greener over in the sandpit" type of people. It's just ridiculous. Now the Cowboys certainly have a shot at beating the Texans because they have a very good run game, but outside of that, there's nothing special about their team at all. There's certainly no reason to think the Texans don't have a chance to win that game....and that's what I'm hearing from a lot of people. Hell there's people who think the Browns, Falcons, and Saints are better than the Texans and that's just sad. The Texans are 3-1 and have a lot of talent on their roster, suggesting as much isn't like a Jags fan talking about the playoffs but you'd never know it around here.
Fair enough. Although I do think Dallas is the better team. Obviously I want the Texans to prove me wrong
Winning ugly is still winning. I don't care how they do it. The NFL has proven year after year that any one can get hot at the right time and go on a run. Doesn't matter if you don't get to the tournament and you're certainly better off doing it with your best players. A meniscus tear is fixable and the pain is manageable. There is little risk to his long term health. I've had a shredded meniscus for years and still play soccer on it with a cortisone shot over a year ago and ibuprofen daily. I'm no professional athlete with a professional training staff watching over me.
Maybe they are, maybe they'll win, but I haven't really seen enough to think that for certain. Sure they have a better run game, but the Texans have the better defense and they have better offensive weapons. Having the better run blocking O line might be enough for the Cowboys to win, but this is certainly a winnable game IMO.
