The Texans have nothing going on the ground for them this year and Dayne and Gado aren't getting it done. I think Wali Lundy was doing a better job than either of them. Wali has only gotten six carries after his first game in which he started and I don't see why Kubiak isn't giving him more carries.

Just got back from the game...Man, that was awesome...TO was huge...About freakin' time they find him...There were chants for Romo going on as Drew was horrible at times...Romo did good, finding TO for the 3rd TD...

after the game, we tailgated some more and the DCC were leaving with security and took a bunch of picks...I'll download them later...Some aren't as hot as I thought they were...They're all really petite...

As an aside, was at Cuba Libre last night and met John Granado...He was with Chuck Watson and others...Real nice guy...didn't think the Texans would win and he was right...

Looking at the bright side: At least we didn't lose 45-7 to the Cowboys, like KC did against Pittsburgh. Also, our defense hasn't give up 40+ points, like San Fran's defense has now in the past 2 out of 3 weeks. And hey, at least we have a win, unlike the Raiders.

Look, I'm trying here, all right?

Yeah, very trying. Look all smoke and mirrors are removed. No way anyone can excuse David Carr's play anymore. Running game is garbage yes, but sometimes no matter what things go wrong and you need a QB who can lead a potential comeback. If we are 2 TDs down or more we are DONE! That's sad!

I didn't say that he'd be a Super Bowl QB but he'd be in a much better way if he'd been in an organization that actually had an F'ing clue about how to build a team. The fact that Palmer, Brady and Roethlisberger went to solid football organizations cannot be dismissed as inconsequential because in the end, a player is at the mercy of his organization. That's a prime reason why the Raiders are in taters while the Patriots are not. That's also THE prime reason why this team is an absolute football joke. It's like that Careerbuilder.com TV ad where the guy is surrounded at work by a bunch of chimpanzees. That's exactly what's happened to Carr, AJ and Dunta. All this stuff about leadership and respect is meanlingless if your organization is incapable of finding football talent and up to this year that described the Texans football operation to a "T".

Yes, that pretty much sums it. We havent even gone 50% good with the draft, we've had considerable bad luck: Boselli, Young, Walker and now probably Payne. We have dropped Steve Foley, Moran Norris, Jamie Sharper and Marlon McCree in successive seasons.

Maybe for once, we ought to draft someone everyone thinks we should. This new organization has to stop the screwups.

Blame the NFL... Cleveland doesn't look to be going anywhere any time soon, and they've had a 4 year head-start on us.

Meanwhile, Jacksonville and Carolina both had early success (thanks to the lax expansion rules back then)... suffered some down time... and have been able to re-build.

And this is all in less time than it took Cleveland to run through 3 franchise QB's, and the Texans to finally build an offensive line that is no longer the worst in the league (but still below average, in terms of talent).

That still doesn't excuse the Texans for some of the decisions they made... but they had ZERO margin for error, and boy have they made a ton of errors.

Putting every other debate/point aside for the moment, I think it is pretty clear that everyone who was using the "well we're going to run Denver's system" as a point was completely, utterly wrong.

You also can't blame this on Carr completely; but I don't think there is any way that I have confidence he can 'lead' a team. It may not even be his fault - he hasn't had jack sh*t to work with for the most part - but QB is just not a position I feel we can lean on at this point for any reason.

Against even an average team, the gifts Dallas was handing us in the first half/quarter would have put them on the ropes. We couldn't do much with it. That's depressing.

All in all, a sh**ty day for the Texans.

Or maybe the Browns and Texans have had idiots running the show? If anything, it's easier to build a team up from expansion than to re-build, because you don't take huge cap hits by trading/cutting old vets.

The Texans have been a joke from Day 1 and will be for the next few years.

I was going to write about the o line maybe conscentrating so hard on pass protection that it took away from their run blocking, but, I think I have passed the I don't care point. The Saints are cool, and Vince beat the Redskins, the same Redskins that were to tough, to good, and had such a great defense that we were told the Texans didn't have a chance and they played that way. HA!! Vince Young and the Tenessee intermural team just beat the same Redskins. Vince is a leader, Vince inspired and led them. Little David gave up.

I thought our defense looked like it is improving. I liked the d- line and linebackers. Dunta is all heart and all alone in the secondary. Phillip Buchanan is the
Stomile Swift of the NFL. Loads of talent, no brain and no heart. Did I mention no brain, and he is a sissy.

We will have to wait until the next draft to get another good corner and couple of solid safetys. The black hole of a secondary is Charlie Casserly giving us the finger all year long. Does anybody think we might have a decent secondary if we had the second and third round pick we gave up for Buchanan and kept Aaron Glenn, and kept the second, third, and fourth round pick we gave up for Jason Babin. That is two number twos, two number three's and a four. Since Jason Babin is a waste, I'd like that number one pick back.
Lets see, on the side of intelligent investing, I'll take Aaron Glenn, a number one pick, two number two picks, two number three picks, and a fourth.
On the side of Charllie, (get a grownup haircut) Casserly, Philip Buchanun and Jasun Babin. Holy fire the GM, what a debacle.
The season ticket holders should file a class action lawsuit against Charlie Casserly. He stole their money.

Dude, Ive always appreciated your posts cuz u are a loyal fan but this is ridiculous. It was making my stomach sick listening to 610 after the game. The 2 losers (hosts) were bashing Carr and so were the callers. People need to use their negative energy towards the running game. Its dissapointing and highly frustrating when we cant run the ball. 3rd and 1 at the goal line...cant get in....3rd and 1 in another point in the game....cant get the first down. Oh yea...AJ drops a pass that would have gotten us a first down but we punt instead. Another thing....Kubiak deserves a LOT of blame for the play calling.
What can Carr do about this?? Not a thing. We have the WORST running game I have ever seen honestly. Carr has been doing well without the defense being honest. They were expecting pass on every down in the second half. Carr forced a pass to AJ that he shouldnt have but he is trying to make plays. I dont know what you guys expect but I dont blame Carr for today's loss. Im sure someone has posted this but Carr had the most rushing yards with FIFTEEN FRICKIN yards. Did a RB get more that 4 yards on a carry today. I doubt it. ANd to that guy that tried to bring up Harrington ....lets see...Ronnie Brown had 127 yards (almost 6 yards a carry)....Texans fans are so stupid sometimes

Well, to be fair, I think most Texans fans understand a very important point:

We have Ron Dayne as our starter. Whom we picked up within the last month or so.

What is there to talk about? Only the people who believed that we were going to look just like the Broncos running game of past years are probably shocked at this point, and they aren't going to say much.

On the other hand, Carr has been the 'face' of this franchise since its birth. And while I personally thought he has looked better early on this year, it's pretty clear he's just as much a part of the problem as any other area of the team. Some are better than others, and he's hardly the biggest problem, but he's not exactly willing them to wins either.

So I don't think it is all that crazy to expect most of the talk - as we look at the fact we've won all of three games over the last 18 or so - to head in that direction.

This game was on the road versus a much better, and angry, team. You guys are making too big a deal of this.

3 years is what it takes to rebuild. Draft well again next year, pick up some more FAs, try to be respectable in year 2, and gun for the playoffs in year 3. I think because so many of you fans hate the Boys so much you have lost your marbles about this game, and about Carr. Ya'll even played well for a quarter or two longer than I thought. Your home loses to Phily and Washington should have been more discouraging.

As a Boys fan 1st (since the Oilers left there have been no peers to me), I would love if they snagged David Carr.

Just see Plummer's stats playing with a good defense and with a good running game versus his MO without (Cards).

Big Ben came into the most favorable position possible for a young QB.

Ugh you know Day 1 was against my Cowboys and you guys won? They sure did look like a joke that game. I still have nightmares of it but glad we could get one back today. Texans fans just give the new guy in charge a chance for a full year and most importantly the offseason. The Texans are just an offseason away from being a .500+ team. Keep Carr. He's going to be the heart and soul of this team. Get a running back in the draft and it doesn't have to be Peterson. Just get a healthy back that knows how to run the ball. Pick up another WR/TE and work on the defense. If the Texans had any running game at all it would take the pressure off of Carr.
