I hear ya…but if you’re Lovie and the rest of the guys there’s zero chance you show up to turtle today if you want this job or another.
Truthfully yes that has a part in it, but getting action going at the top would work in our favor. I could see multiple teams trying to jump up for that “last missing piece” and picking up more picks as a team so disturbingly bereft of talent is probably the smartest thing we could do.I’m not certain there is a “must have” player in this draft.
Im not sure why ppl are disappointed we are mishandling the draft situation. We're just going to sign Derek Carr anyway.
This may be worse than a lucky, injury free, Cinderella-run Texans team being one game away from the Super Bowl during the covid year, where all the top players opt out, and getting blown out... You can't possibly come back from that..
Just like I said.. Texans always do the opposite of what there supposed to. Other teams sit there starers Texans play there. Now you lose control of the draft of who you want to pick.. now Chicago has full control.
I completely agree with everything you just said. Which is why I’m not disappointed with having the #2 pick in this draft instead of #1. I don’t think it’s going to matter, but obviously Young could prove me wrong (assuming someone else uses that pick to take him). It’s a long time until April.
Our “starters” have managed 2 wins all season. Playing them isn't exactly a real competitive advantage.
It is in this case.. I knew when I say Cooks, Mills, Tunsil and everyone else playing we were winning this game.. specially vs the Colts
