They were 4 yards from beating the Colts twice this year.

They’re in the HOF... they didn’t “waste” their careers simply because they were on teams that didn’t happen to have everything fall into place.

Fair enough, OK: they didn't waste their careers, their teams wasted their HOF careers, which was my point in the first place

Thus would be the case with any HOF player, in any sport, that didn’t happen to win a title.

Trent Dilfer, Joe Flacco, Eli Manning and Nick Foles will never get top billing over Fouts/Marino.

Lol so now the Texans will have to contend with Trevor Laurence on the Jags, along with the Titans and Colts in the division both teams with 10 wins. Texans have holes throughout the team. We are looking like the afc south doormats for the foreseeable future. Watsons career will be wasted. Thanks BoB, f*ck you.

Pray for Henry breaking down and Rivers getting older...

    It's your only hope.

Why do you care what I dwell on? It was a **** ass trade, one of many shitty transactions from Bill “maybe just maybe he knows what he’s doing” O’Brien.

Why the place they’re in, because of your guy Bob O’Brien.

Hey guys, maybe Bob O’Brien knows what he’s doing!

Yes, exactly. Its total utter bullshit to say a HOF player's career was "wasted" simply because their team didn't win a title.

So for years when the Texans were winning the division, it didn't matter because it was too weak. Now its possibly going to be better and that's still a bad thing?

Those teams also have to deal with Watson every year. I'm glad the AFC south may have 4 teams with a mix of great QB's or great overall rosters... although I am highly doubtful the Lawrence camp is thrilled about Jacksonville any more than they were thrilled (or lack thereof) of the Jets.

Jacksonville owner has shown a commitment to spend in free agency. I’m not sure that matters, they’ve lost a lot of talent after their long run in the playoffs a couple years ago.

I'd add Jim Plunkett to that list as far as the HOF is concerned. He did win two Superbowls with the Raiders.

They're also barking that they need massive stadium renovations now, after recently paying for previous massive stadium renovations, and will possibly impact future spending if they can't get it.

I get that the Texans have never had as deep a playoff run as Jacksonville has had, and are currently in disarray, but I do not think that Jacksonville has any sort of stability any which way.... and unless they commit to London (which is likely impossible now thanks to Covid), that team probably doesn't survive in their current ownership, stadium, or city.

When BOBs here we had the never before seen stud QB-in-his-prime preseason retirement. BOBs gone and the luck goes the other way and Trevor lands in the jags lap.

depressing. can barely work up the energy to even talk about this team. yuck.

Positives? Well they figured out that Johnson may be better suited to catching passes than running in between the tackles! Only took 16 games too! Ummm a Kahale Warring sighting? Chad Hansen looks like a player you can grow with. Zach Cunningham has restored my faith in his play - he's been bringing the wood. thats it. Deshaun of course, but by now man I expect great games from him. He's got what it takes. Just hard to stomach all the ineptitude around him. Tunsil has not been playing that great lately. Im going to guess the vets are making vacation plans and gearing up for next year, but damn man hide it a little better. I'd cut the rest of the offensive line if I could and just start over. There's no coach out there and that could make this unit better. Sharpring moves like Frankenstein. Fulton sucks. Martin sucks. Howard forgot how to play. That unit is the biggest damn heartbreak on the team. Every single play it feels like there is pressure in the backfield. Greenard and Blacklock look like busts. Makes you dizzy.

Welcome to my world. This team has sucked my normal optimism and fanhood right out of me.

its even more painful because Im coming around to your views on this multiple year top to bottom rebuild and now we could possibly have Trevor Lawrence in division? Almost overwhelming.

Deshaun still seems to provide some entertainment - there is that. He was throwing some dots out there yesterday and against a pretty good defense with 3rd stringers and practice squad guys as his weapons. LOL.
