*Currently* 6th pick going to Miami. That **** is depressing. Like we’d be worse off without Laremy?

    OT Penei Sewell
Maybe CBs Patrick Surtain, Caleb Farley or Jaycee Horn
or some WR help Ja’Marr Chase, Jaylen Waddle, Devonta Smith, TE Kyle Pitts

A big fat 5-11/4-12 record and not a damn thing to show for.

Thanks Bob, thanks Cal, thanks Jack...

not to mention our high ass second round pick too

to make matters worse: the jets just won so the jags have the top pick in the draft

And its still pretty evident that elite QB’s win a ton of games in this league.

Stafford a pretty good example... but at what point in his career was he considered a top 3 or top 5 QB in this league?

The jags are more likely to ruin a young QB’s career vs. any other scenario playing out.

If Lawrence was apprehensive to go to the Jets, there’s absolutely no way he’s ecstatic about possibly ending up in Jacksonville...

He's always been considered an elite talent. Him being not ranked in the top 5 regularly is a product of the franchise he's in. If he was drafted to the Patriots, he would be the best qb in the league probably recognition wise.

Stafford and Rivers come to mind. How far back do you want to go...Marino, Fouts...

Besides Stafford, I wouldn’t consider any of those guys having their careers “wasted”.

    Add Moon.

now we are just naming QB’s who never won a championship...

Who knows. Watson is performing at a top3-5 level now, with zero help/coaching/weapons.

Stafford, while talented, didn’t have that sort of wow factor regardless of his team’s shortcomings.

the picks are going to Miami in any case. The only reason you’d want them not as high is because Miami is in the AFC so a competitor. Otherwise they still have their 3rd round picks and after and the higher the better.

also... not sure exactly how they do schedule. If it’s just slotted and the Texans are 3rd in division and that ain’t changing I guess it doesn’t matter. But it will be nice next year for Texans to have easier schedule for once.

finally... Titans overtime, both colts games, Vikings, Steelers... they played teams close.

right coaching hire and they can be in playoffs again next year no problem.

the draft pick issue sucks for sure especially in the sense that you don’t want playoffs you want super bowl. Is what it is.

Anyone watch Carlos " El Guapo" Hyde scamper for a 50 yard touchdown sealing the deal for the Seahawks?
I say it every week and I'm still amazed how not re-signing Reader has turned the run defense into an embarrassment on the highlight shows. "I can't believe it's not butter."

Then you didn't watch him play. Stafford has some of the best arm talent in NFL history. You should see some of the ridiculous throes he's done.

Arm talent? You mean a strong arm?

Sure, nobody is doubting that. He could even have the strongest arm in the history of the NFL... but its abundantly clear that out of all the elite metrics a QB could have, arm strength may be slightly towards the middle to bottom half.

Line recognition, for me, is #1... and that doesn’t happen right away. Decision making #2... including when to simply throw it away and start over. Accuracy #3. Elusiveness/athleticism/instinct may be neck/neck with arm strength... especially seeing what its done for Watson/Rodgers (previously)/Mahomes.

The fact that some QB’s remain elite/MVP caliber even after losing a few mph on their fastball says all you need to know about arm “talent”.

Obviously you want a QB to have it all... and the current crop of elite QB’s in the NFL has that, in spades.

Stafford/MattRyan/Rivers.... all with pretty much interchangeable careers that if each was on a different team, things likely end up pretty similarly to what transpired. Stafford most likely makes a SB with a similar Atlanta team. Rivers likely languishes in Detroit.

Fouts was a .500 QB who did lose 2 AFC Champ games.

Marino won 2 playoff games in one year once in his career, his 2nd year when he lost in the SB.

Both played their entire careers with the teams that drafted them.

    "We" are not naming ****.

Glad the cowboys were on instead of the Texans in Austin.... That way I missed another game ending blunder and seeing watson in disbelief.

It looks like he fumbles every time he touches the ball but he's only fumbled 3x in his three seasons. I'm not counting his Punt return fumble vs Chicago. No way he should be out there returning punts

He's catching 81% of the passes thrown his way and is only 23 years old. Would hate to give up on him at such an early age considering some receivers fumble the ball 3x a year. It's correctable.
