Glad I missed this game. The defense had 1 sack while the Colts had 5. DJ averaged under 4 ypc, Watson was great, and the Texans blew it at the last second with another boneheaded play. Sounds like 2020.
Deshaun on the sidelines. I'm going to go watch season2 of Dawson's creek now. Positives: 2 more games for this season to be over. Deshaun Warring caught a ball
First it was Peyton always beating our ass. Now it's punk ass fumbles. Indy sweeps us again while we've never swept them.
This is the most Love/Hate relationship I've ever had with a Houston sports franchise. And yeah, I remember the Oilers and the '90's Astros. Deshaun made it an entertaining loss, which is the best you can hope for at this time.
Fumbles got him in the doghouse, but this one is sorta/almost/quasi excusable. Great job breaking a tackle, got spun around, and then didn't think to put the ball in his gut. HS/College coaches have been known to make a fumble-prone guy carry a football against their body all day. I say they try it, he's got talent to be a damn good receiver.
Assuming we retain roby next year, who i think isn't a #1 cornerback, but is a good #2 who is a free agent next year, that could come in and fill in nicely with roby? Same question regarding the pass rush Assuming we don't trade watt who could come in and help with the pass rush?
Looked like he was going to try to stretch out but it got knocked away. Didn’t really look like he was going to get in unless he did stretch out.
In my opinion Watson has shown he move an offense full of nobodies, I think we need to focus on getting a defense that can get off the field on third down and stop the run
While I’m utterly unsurprised fans of a local team still seem to root more for the player than the team... when was the last time a truly elite QB on the level of Watson “wasted” his career? Im sure there’s been an example over the years... but largely these guys don’t waste their careers because they’re good enough to win games and get playoff appearances simply by themselves.
Eh. No qb is good enough to win by themselves. Mathew Stafford is probably more talented than some of the elite qbs of the past 10 years but he's stuck on a **** franchise. It's not that qbs can win it by themselves. It's more like that qbs who win a lot get more name recognition and are peecieved as better.
