Yeah man, most people that know me, know me as the eternal optimist lol. That is gone....for now. I’m hoping the right GM and Head Coach can change that. Right now I have my doubts.
And isn’t it the most Texan thing there is? Lawrence coming to the division to a rival as the heir apparent to our stud QB to come possibly take the division over? That’s how I felt when Colts went from Peyton to Luck. I hope the Texans can get some players around Watson fast.
I also heard that Carson Wentz could find himself reuniting with Frank Reich in Indy. While Im not a huge Wentz guy, his year with Reich was pretty good. Just more to deal with while Derrick Henry runs over our soft ass defense and Tanny is using play action on us to death. I think Deshaun can hang, but its going to take a massive overhaul.
Yeah I heard that too, Wentz has talent, if Reich can fix him we’re screwed. Deshaun is still the best QB in the division (Lawrence has the potential to be better) but the other teams are significantly better outside of Jacksonville
Wentz hasn't been the same since the injuries. Some guys develop a mental block and can't get over it. I don't think there's any fixing him honestly. I also don't know why Indy would trade for that awful contract. Philly can't cut him or he's 30 million in dead cap money. Even if he pouts like he is now he's still Hurts insurance
And I agree, he’s shook. But the tools and talent is there. He was an MVP caliber player under Reich. Who knows what will happen.
They are but it reminds me of guys like Rick Ankiel and Chuck Knoblauch. Two extremely talented guys who lost it mentally and were never the same (although it was impressive how Ankiel eventually reinvented himself as a hitter). For our sake I hope it doesn't happen in our division. Otherwise I wish him the best
I think Wentz can be fixed. He’s had his worst year, but he’s also been sacked WAY more already In 12 games this season than in any other year, and I’m sure he’s shell shocked. I don’t know how much of that is on him and how much is on his line, but he’s only 28 years old and has a ton of talent. I’m guessing he will be back.
