I just hope Foster's tweet isn't a case of "happy to be here" I'm a little edgy from the Texans letting the bright lights of MNF give them starry eyes. Too many national TV embarrassments. Play hard for 60 minutes. Be sharp and break like demons if you are playing a zone on Peyton, lock Wayne and Garcon up tight in double coverage if in man. Smashmouth football on the lines. For once.
DuaneBrown76: Morning twitter fam!!! Been waiting for this day to arrive for a while and its finally here. Yall get ready for a show tonight! Another positive tweet. At least based on twitter, the team seems ready to play.
National TV embarrassments? We lost to the Titans by a FG last year. I wouldn't call that an embarrassment. Year before last we beat the Jags on MNF, and in '07 we beat Denver on a Thursday night.
What embarrassments? Besides the 2005 season, where the Texans had two Sunday Night games on ESPN and was the disastrous 2-14 season, what other prime time games have the Texans done bad in? They did well against the Titans last year on MNF. Kris Brown just can't kick a field goal and Chris Brown couldn't run. Glad both of them are gone.
Last year, that was the 3-6 Titans that came in and trampled us, with Young/Johnson racking up 230 yards on the ground (but we're run stoppers!). There was zero to feel good about. To me, I was in the stands feeling like we were getting exposed as pretenders on national TV. I suppose I am overly harsh about them - we had opened up 5-3, and this was the second straight loss to a divisional opponent that helped start our slide out of playoff contention. Everyone expected us to ROMP on them. It was a punch in the nuts.
i'm shltting myself in anticipation...have a bad feeling about this game, but usually that's a good sign. MNF games are rarely blowouts...right? riiiight? edit: the line is 5 1/2. i think texans cover.
blah blah blah blah moss blah blah blah vikings blah blah blah new england blah blah blah moss.... Damnit, I have to go to work in 20 min. Just got home to catch any coverage on the MNF game...then this crap. Oh well. Just a few more hours.
It kinda scares me if they are able to figure out ways to stop Foster... the amount of weight that goes with this win is pretty big. We haven't ever won in Indy... we'd be leading the division again... and the momentum would continue on to next week at Reliant...we'd also have swept the Colts and the Colts would be 0-3 against the AFC south.
The blueprint on how to shutdown the Texans was executed perfectly by the Giants...they closed every cutback lane for Foster and then baited the Texans into throwing and playing into their strength, which is their pass rush. If the Texans can run the ball, they will control te game....but if we come out throwing, we're in for a long night.
I was gonna dvr the monday night preview but now it's gonna be about Moss and ESPN will try to come up with some crap about how Dallas still has a chance if they go for Moss.
