I think we should back off this "woe is us" approach when looking at this team. Clearly, a penalty on 4th down isn't going to do this team in. Its got enough talent even had they given up that 4th and 1 to let that one instance not be the difference between winning and losing.
But hasn't that been the story of this team that we're trying to shake off? 1 step forward then 2 steps back?
When they ultimately have enough talent, those things will happen less. When they ultimately start to win consitently, and learn how to win through adversity, those things won't even be considered.
